This character showcases what modern writers are missing, part of what makes Sigrun Engel so compelling is you can feel her pain and her humiliation. She isnt a girl boss shes a human being whose lived a really hard life. So when she stands up for herself you want to cheer, because you can identify and relate with feeling abused or ignored or humiliated and wanting to evolve out of that. The scene where she snaps and chokes Grace is so earned its magical, then Youngblood walks in and its like WTF happened?!?
