I think he uses the Small Armored Ship to hunt Ships of the Damn or they are Setting it up to be, the Ships of Damned are not too fast, you don't want to get too far ahead of them, and just shoot out the back.

If you make a silo, you can place gold and food inside to feed your crew and pay them while anchored at the base

If you're worried about the background sound disturbance, there's a setting on discord right next to the voice connected sign, which suppresses background noise.

If you want to build ramps to your boat, you have to change it from roof to ramps and it will place, if it still doesn't want to place, and pillars to the bottom of the ceilings and it will place, ceilings only have a few placements, where ramps can place any which way.

You can put railings all around the ramps and at the top where you have the gap at the back, just build up walls and you'll be able to close it off for the ramp that you want at the back and you'll also be able to put railings around it then

You can also build a bridge from the one island to the other to get to your docks and then on the top of the rocks, using cliff platforms, your base and inbetween the docks and the base, your crops and the bottom, animal pens around the islands next to the docks, but it's just a suggestion!

Build your base on cliff platforms, that'll be cool!!! You were busy making the organic paste for it and I'm sure you forgot about it.

If you level on nature's touch, you'll have the healing ability on your animals and for yourself there's the medi kit which you equip in your hotbar and use like a weapon, you use herbs like aloe, and a white flower called chamomile and turmeric as well as basil and yarrow. You can harvest your bodies, it'll give you meat, use your bear if you don't like harvesting yourself

And a smythy for repairing your tools and just a suggestion, close off the front platform with railings as well, it would look better, more finished, you can add extra ladders on the sides as well. Cargo rack reduces the schooner speed by 10%, which is not that much.

You need a water barrel on the boat as well for fresh water and don't forget your crystal and a preserving bag with preserving salts

You need to make a feeding trough for your animals and check your food for the crew as well and preserving salts for the preserving bags. I enjoy your series on Atlas, can't wait to see the base you're going to build! If you want oil kill tuna and of course manta rays.

I've tried solo MOLE mining and didn't really like it. Compared to a Prospector you can't use mining mode to properly scan, you don't have time to fill 90 SCU with Quantanium, you have to run back and forth between the pilot seat and the mining turret to crack and extract all the rocks. If you were mining something else then maybe the extra SCU might be worth the hassle, but otherwise the Prospector is just much easier to operate solo. The Prospector 32 SCU is a good size to hold most high percentage Quantanium rocks in full - and nothing more. MOLE is awesome for 3 or 4 people, but I don't think I would try soloing it again.

You probably know by now, but from the initial long range scan (within 5km) the first thing to check is Instability, if it's below 7 then it's going to have 25% Quant or less, the numbers for the materials are 100x too much, if it says 5500% Quant it means 55% of the minable materials are Quant, it does not include Inert materials in that calculation. For example I have seen a 6000% Quant rock but with instability 4, up close it was like a 5% quant and 91% inert (As expected due to the low instability). Typically any instability rock with 7+ is worth mining and should give 25% Quant or more. My record is 49.7 Quant in a single rock.

If u scroll your mouse wheel u can change your scan scope to a two pence piece size, to scan from further out

@14:41 its pronounced like bor-ace not bor-ass just fyi :) hahaha - also great tip on the setting a quantum marker on something, I hate that part when scanning in space, you can get turned around and end up scanning the same things again. They do save things in your scanner mode for a little while but history data retention is really brief, seems to drop with render range. From SC news videos it sounds like that retention will be much longer term in the future at some point. I enjoy mining I just don't enjoy the scanning, and mining its mostly a game of scanning currently.

something which I would have liked to see in this game is the ability to go into a top-down view and give orders to the mechs to spread them out better. Especially for defence missions.
