When you see the “karate chop” signal it means “stay in line” or “bump draft” for the car behind. In spec Miata especially people will work together by drafting and bumping down the straights to gain momentum.

@@shepsean1 I wasn't out there, common name problems. But it could be said that because of that I have the slowest times of all haha. Your car & driving are excellent, lap times show that, I just see bouncing off the rev limiter as leaving something more on the table. Clearly, your data shows otherwise and data-driven decisions are certainly better than visuals on youtube. Tuning for an extra 250-500rpm rev limit (and associated mods if needed) could likely result in even better lap times? Do you have the same problem on other short tracks (like west)? Might be something to consider is all. Love the videos, the car, and the driving, keep it up!

Car is great! UMC is much higher sustained speed, more comparable to chuckwalla I’d say than AMP. AMP has more low speed corners and accelerating out

Brian Hendricks thanks but that’s not quite correct. The rule is: “Any NASA TT competitor that places more than two wheels off course during an incident, or has both front or both rear wheels off course at the same time, will lose any timed result from that session.”
