Webinar: Empowering Families on the Breastfeeding Journey
Hi thanks for the informative video. I just wanted to ask more specifically about the investigations to order. Take for example case 3 - in a baby with prolonged jaundice, would you also send bloods for FBE/film/reticulocytes, TFTs, group and DAT?
Thanks for your comment, @ruhullahhaghseresht6004. We are trying to connect with the presenter to get an answer for you.
I'm sorry, but we are unable to answer this one. We've lost contact with the webinar presenter, and our staff doesn't have this kind of clinical expertise.

Thank you so much... Can you please read out the questions in the chat box before answering them in the future. This was very informative.
Thanks very much, Nompumelelo. We appreciate the helpful feedback. We’ll make a note to read out the chatbox questions in the future.
Dr can you tell us best resources like books
How common is the baby to exhibit low emotional affect?
Is it safe for adolescents that were born addicted to meth, to take adderall?
My understanding is that you’re at a higher risk to become addicted but adderall has pros and cons. Strattera is what I’m on- a non stimulant and I’m a big fan.
So they don't help single persons?? Just families?
Can I get app

Did you try it?

I am not sure that taking photos of the baby she just said they she didn't want to see is smart or best. It can be triggering. I understand the spirit that this comes from, however, Mom has already had a birth plan against her wishes so to impose what we think will be important to her later...that could induce the PTSD you spoke about earlier. If I lost a child and I did not want to see them, I would rage if someone started taking photos and talking about how beautiful this child was. I do not think this is sensitive enough or understanding that grief looks different for everyone. A Mom who wants to read to their deceased child after birth is no more "normal" than a Mom who does not want to recognize the child at that moment at all. It seems as though the speaker wanted to be so supportive that she forgot what she needs to support- the Mom's emotions and stages as they come.
Yes 👍
The best way to remove plaque is by brushing and cleaning between the teeth every day....
This is amazing. Thank you...... I am 36 and i am just now realizing the effects that meth has had on my life. Completely destroyed my social skills.
I was born addicted. I use a wheelchair. I have Developmental delays, I was in special Ed, I’m severely disabled due to my addictive behavior to food. I’m bulimic and have been bulimic for 15 years. I have severe nerve pain, bowel and bladder disorders, personality issues, panic attacks, nightmares, spinal pain and ptsd

Thankyou for ur sharing.. it was really give me so much information about lactation. I'm Dian, I'm 30 yo. I have a question, I was giving birth 3 month ago, and my baby has a posterior tonge tie. Her tongue tie was released 1 month ago. But she still can't latch on my breast. I realize she has a high palate. So my question what kind of breastfeeding position to make her latch on my Breast and express the milk out?thankyouu.. waiting ur answer
Hi Dian! Here's a response from Hannah at BreastfeedLA (this webinar's presenter): Congratulations on the new baby. I'm sorry to hear you are having some struggles, but I applaud you for all the work you are doing to support yourself, your child, and your breastfeeding relationship. You sound like an amazing mom. I would really suggest, if possible, seeing a lactation consultant who can work with you and your baby to find the best position to support you both. Just as you identified, there are so many factors in getting the right "fit" between mom and baby. It is possible, but sounds like you might want some 1:1 assistance. If you are in Los Angeles and need help finding a lactation consultant, we encourage you to use this resource directory: www.breastfeedla.org/resource-directory/ Or give us a call at (323) 210-8505. If you are outside of Los Angeles, let us know where you are from and hopefully we can find you some local support. We know you can do this! P.S. have you ever thought of becoming a lactation educator yourself? You sound like you might be a great one!
Thank you very informative.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad it was helpful!
Do heroin addicts turn to meth?
Not really
If they wanna work an actual job and not live in a tent, yes. Otherwise, it’s a hard no.
