Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 27 มี.ค. 2019
The Ohio State University's Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis (CEMAS) is a centralized, coordinated imaging facility where traditional boundaries between disciplines are eliminated.
With one of the largest concentrations of electron and ion beam analytical microscopy instruments in any North American institution, CEMAS brings together multidisciplinary expertise to drive synergy, amplify characterization capabilities, and challenge what is possible in analytical electron microscopy.

Multi-scale characterization of 3D printable ODS-MPEAs by cross-correlation of advanced STEM methods
มุมมอง 230ปีที่แล้ว
Our recent work (Nature, 2023) has demonstrated a new strategy to design alloys for high-temperature applications using additive manufacturing. Combining multi-principal element alloy (MPEA) and oxide-dispersion-strengthening (ODS) concepts opens up a vast unexplored compositional space to develop new 3D printable alloys. Here, we reveal the microstructural origins of the extraordinary performa...

EBSD - Transforming Kikuchi Patterns into Useful Data
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) has become a standard technique for the imaging and characterization of polycrystalline materials. While most EBSD users have at least a basic understanding of the physics of electron diffraction in the SEM, very few actually understand that process of how Kikuchi patterns are indexed to determine the crystal orientation and how useful descriptions of ori...

This Team Transmission Electron Abberation Corrected Microscope. i did the first Team Transmission Electron Abberation Corrected Microscoop mounting in 2007. it was a revolutionary development in technology at that time when we mounted the first Team Titan Krios electron configuration.
Really good stuff, well explained, top tier content. I admire the science you are doing and the level of pedantic data gathering and analysis you have done. Very impressive amount of tedious hard work. Keep gong !
How can we convert tif to mrc files?
How can we convert tif to mrc files?
Hello, thank you. This is very important information. I have captured some dislocation in SEM_STEM with a very good constant than TEM. Could you please provide some insights into why we can see dislocations easily in STEM mode? Also, what exactly does STEM3+ mode do? It's stopping the least scattered electron (BF); what does the Blue ring indicate?
Excellent
Hi, what can it be if I can't see a carbon layer of my grid at all?
VERY informative presentation on HPF
Thank you for sharing your knowledge That was very informative indeed
Hi, Thank you for these sessions. They have been quite insightful. Is it possible to virtually join the session on 3/31/2023? If yes, can you share the registration link?

Thanks for the content. Nice to see a modern (2023) single particle negative stain analysis video.
Hi, thank you for kindly sharing your expertise. May I ask how you evaluate if your particle, which is a complex, falls apart according to your negative stain? Thanks. Do you usually do 2D classification with negative stain results?
Thank you for this lecture
Thanks for sharing 👍
Great job 👍
Many thanks for the nice talk about new S/TEM techniques
Thanks for sharing! It’s very helpful.
Thanks for sharing!
I can't find the option "F8 image processing" on the list. My list jumps from F7 Solutions to F9 Operational options. Any idea why could that be? Thank you very much
From my own experience, you have to save all the pattern files as .up2 for reindexing. This can only be done during your data acquisition.
Excellent talk, thank you for helping get good understanding on 4D-STEM technique
hello nice presentation, were can I find the ppt or pdf presentation? can you share that, thank you so much.
Its a great explanation sir.
Thank you for sharing the video, its really informative. I have two queries regarding processing core-lose EELS data. I am interested in finding L3/L2 white line intensity ratio for iron, but not sure which fitting model to use in GSM or how to calculate it in GMS 3.4 version. Previous studies reported Hartree-Slater cross section. I would appreciate if you provide the steps to do this analysis in GMS🙏🙂
Hi, who are you? Why do I keep receiving sms regarding some account I have never created. Kindly advise, it's serious. Thanks
Good presentation ^^

Thanks!
pretty interesting
Very informative Thank you
