I have a 5500 that sat for 3 years and 10 before that. Practically new. I turned it on yesterday, and hydraulic fluid gushed from the piston lube cup area. Never had this happen. I had used many of these. Had one that was 20 years ol, and even with a hole in the engine block and it kept on running. Would a repack kit be the fix? Or is there a separate kit for the hydraulic fluid leaks? Thanks

I agree water is worse than for your pump but please tell me what do I clean my sprayer out with when I run a water-based paint through it without gumming it up?

Approximately how tight should the piston valve be? I snugged it and gave it another half turn and it eventually came loose even with thread lock. Another time I tightened it pretty tight but it ripped my packings after a few uses? Help? Thanks!

Is that the same for 3400? I have problem with pressure is not stable and lines from 4 inch gets down to 3 inch and go back the 4 inch all the time and mechanic couldn't find the problem. Any ideas???

Thanks for this video. My pump the valve was sticking to tite to turn to prime and spray easily. But when i did the pump would not prime when i turned to prime. I removed the dip to see if its pluged with paint and also of the ball was stuck but it was just fine. I screwed back on and tried to prime but it wouldn't. Do you think something in the prime to spray valve is broken or maybe is just plugged with paint and needs to be cleaned?

How about NOT SKIPPING THE PART THAT WOULD SHOW HOW TO REMOVE THE PUMP!!!!

How do you put the Manifold seal on ?

Hey quick question.. do you need to adjust the brass part of the valve by tightening or loosening it? My new valve came with it only halfway screwed down. Thank you 🙏

Good man using thread lock, but you know what you should do so you don't sheer the packing, screw the piston valve on but don't tighten yet, get the rod and packings in the sleeve then tighten the piston valve so it bulges in the sleeve.

What grease did you use?

I just put a new one and it won't sustain pressure it's like leaking

Thank you so much for the video! The large check ball that came with the repack kit is larger than the ball that my sprayer comes with and will not fit into the cage. Everything else fits perfectly. Any suggestions?

what type of grease do you use ? and where do you get it at ?

can you repair/rebuild the foot valve on a 440e or is there a foot valve that you can substitute like the foot valve on a 440i? I have a 440e not priming if the footvalve is place in water it sprays......any ideas thanks
