They are referring to the family that they are going to build in the future. Not them saying the Family means you need to support their entire family. In Filipino culture, it is common to repay the kindness and care received from parents, but this is seen as a personal choice rather than a strict obligation. People have the freedom to decide what they want to provide to their family members.

The first time it did not work out because I chose unwisely, didn´t talk the language and did not recognize the red flags. But the 2nd time is the charm and it worked out great after 12 years together and married.

@ddc163264 I understand your frustration, but it's not fair to generalize all Filipinas based on some negative experiences. Every individual is different, and there are many Filipinas who are genuine and seek meaningful relationships. It's important to approach each person with an open mind and not let a few bad experiences shape your perception of an entire group. Relationships can be complex and challenging, no matter where someone is from. Let's try to be more understanding and avoid making sweeping generalizations.

@@AForeignAffairOfficial This wasn't just a "few" females, this was HUNDREDS of them, both at my based and my sister station the former Clark AFB. Not a SINGLE one of these females stayed with their man once they got what they wanted out of them and they ran the base concessions, the bx, salons, NCO and Officers clubs, rec center, MWR, even the hospital. All of them divorced or separated. Loyalty to being with a male doesn't seem to be in the makeup. That is from YEARS of observation and HUNDREDS of examples. Fortunately, I learned early and NEVER fell for or into that trap. MAYBE decades before these females learned to be Americanize and use males for anything they want and dump them after, they WERE decent, and I won't say it's 100% (because nothing human is 100%), but the percentages are SO high(75-90%) that it's not worth taking the gamble.

@@ddc163264 It's your opinion with Filipinas that you have seen and observed but not ALL are the same. There are countless successful marriages out there with Filipino women. There are tons of FILIPINAS who are still loyal to their partners and prioritize the success and happiness of their marriages. Well, it is so sad that you have seen such negative for a lot of Filipinas but NOT all I tell you. It unfairly taints the reputation of those who are committed to their relationships.

They take polls with smaller sample sizes and publish them for news and stats. It's like saying that there were plenty of people who had good Yugo cars. Which is true, but overall they were a bad car. Same thing here. For guys out there NEVER trust a Filipina! Even if you marry one, never sleep soundly, ALWAYS be watchful and be ready for the eventual turn of this female that mostly WILL come. That's observational experience, NOT opinion!
