I got a 1989 bayou 300 looks amazing everything works as should but it has top end noise. I suspect rocker arms and Cam are no good. Seems like a lot of these kawasakis have this issue. Any idea how long this job would take a mechanic to do?
Can you do a video on a 2001 Yamaha big bear 400 4x4 that has an ignition bypass and no battery. I'm having issues getting it to crank via pull cord.... Never had issues until it set for 3+ yrs
@@Goofy42098 if the engine isn't rotating but the pull rope...it may be seized.
@@weekendwarriorpowersports got it to crank a total of 5 times and it just dies right after cranking now....any ideas... solenoid maybe?
Just seeing your video. Looks like it's a couple years old by now. I have the same style harness 90 to 95 it looks like. Hows it Goin 2 yrs in?
@@dajuice8228 The warrior was sold long ago, however. I took it on a 5 hour ride before selling and it was fine
04 arctic cat 4x4 no spark new coil and cdi box no change,, but do have voltage to the coil because I’ve gotten bit while connecting wires to coil Is magnet on flywheel possibly still the issue Thx
@@bucklana924 if it's a 400, good chance
@@weekendwarriorpowersports thx
An hour just to break the bead? I've got 8 tires to change!
Lol Bolt it down
I' brought. A starter from Amazon looks like a wire short down on it black mark on it any suggestions
@@brianvangulick3782 you power cable must have an exposed section near there. Your started is grounded, so you wire is creating a "short"
In the video when you take the cover off, there is a washer that drops down and you said I will have to figure out where that went. I have this exact same bike with the exact same problem. Any idea where that washer goes? Any help is greatly appreciated.
@@blakenelson936 it was for the transmission. If I remember right, there is only 1 that it fits.
They still have spaced magnets under a shield on the replacement flywheels hopefully better epoxy holding them
Yo man make next time you make a video get a better camera angle put the camera behind the fender could you receive it
How much
I have the artic cat green (His) I'm going to use your video to do the same thing.
Did you sell this? I need the speedometer for my ATV 😂
Haha nope, SOLD before the video was even uploaded 😅
@@weekendwarriorpowersports how much did you sell it for If you don’t mind me asking
@@chiefs529 $700 without the head. Sold the head for $250 on ebay
unless video. you don't even show replacing the timing chain.

I have a 2004 Rancher that's burning oil and want to take it apart. This video helps out ALOT!! Sorry for your loss on that machine.

As a result, your channel grows and develops day by day and your channel wills high rank in search results. 100% I can guarantee to improve subscribers and video views on any TH-cam channel with my experience.
Thank you for all the love! The first kid just bought the bike with his own money and broke the 1st day. Made sure he knew he was welcome to come ask for help anytime
Awesome you would’ve been locked in my memory as a core one for sure if this happened to me growing up awesome shit man those kids will tell there kids that a cool badass bike dude helped them whenever they needed when down and out! Fuck yeah

Definitely took guts! I thought dad sent him over, but he was working late. Just the two boys. Happy to help!
Good man
Luckily i am this neighbor but that kid hangs out with my best friends brother too. Love helping the teens keep their quads/dirtbikes/sxs's rippin 🤘🤘
Awesome never see anyone open the door for their neighbors let alone help em out
I helped my neighbor a few times with his truck he was kind of a nerdy odd guy but I try to be nice, he's currently serving a life sentence for doing something Horrific. I think generally speaking it's better to stay to yourself.
You are the man. A kid ran his truck off the road next to my house and had to change the tire for him and jack it up and use my tools but hopefully next time he will know what he has to do.
Yessir! Gotta teach em young. They might have been intimidated by something like that before and you could've just opened their mind after they see how easy it is! He might start doing his own suspension work, brake work, and who knows what else.
I’ve been the dad in this situation more times than I’d care to admit. That said, this situation lead to fantastic learning opportunities with flammable substances…
That's why I started the channel! Help teach the youngers
I want to be a neighbor like that someday!
Definitely a dream come true
Well hopefully by you helping them you thought them something they will be able to use and will help them for future reference so God bless you for you help and passing down of wisdom and knowledge that will be passed down aging hopefully 😊
Made sure to show them what I was doing and why
Whole reason why I started the channel, to help others! I'm self taught myself so I know the importance of resources!

What kind of lift is that?
It's a pro-lift, technically a lawn mower lift but I removed the tire hangers
@@weekendwarriorpowersports thanks, yeah looks like they don’t make it anymore.
@BillintheVille found it on the old marketplace several years ago for $200! It's been great.
Do you work on Harley’s
Definitely not an area of expertise for me
You wanna zip ty the main wiring harness. Peace!
before you set the cylinder down on the piston, why didn't you check for play at the top of connecting rod ?. i see tons of top end rebuilds, and most over look this !. if the top of the rod is worn ?, you will ( or the next person that buys this 300ex ) will be doing another top end tear down if the top of the rod is worn out. other than this, nice video of working on it !.
Play at the wrist pin? I definitely didn't notice any and that's a pretty uncommon place for wear.. I have never seen an ATV need a crank due to wrist pin play. Have you seen that?
@@weekendwarriorpowersports yes, been doing this for over 30 yrs, i've seen tons of wear at the wrist pin, and the top of the rod where the wrist pin wears. all it takes is to incert the wrist pin into the top of rod, just the end !, as wrist pin ends do not wear like the centers do. then lift up and push down on wrist pin, if there is any movement ?, the rod will give you troubles down the road, seen it many times.
@alanshaw4655 What would cause the wrist pin to wear the crank though.? While it can free spin and rotate, it barely does through the course of its life. The wrist pin would wear out far faster than the harden steel crank...
@@weekendwarriorpowersports lack of oil. no oil ?..heat from friction wears them both out. wrist pins are hardened steel, while the rod is hardened steel, its from a diff kind of steel. ever noticed the '' bluing '' on the bottom of rods where it conencts to the crank ?..its because they are tempered..
Get the parts bike from the guy you bought it from
