Orchha - Tour Of Ancient Indian Monuments 🇮🇳
More of ancient India!
Continuing my journey through Incredible India I've reached the historic town of Orchha in the Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh.
Orcha is a UNESCO world heritage site that sits on the Betwa River and is most well known for its historical sites including Orchha Fort, Chaturbhuj Temple, and the Rani Mahal.
In this video, I explore the historical sites and monuments of Orchha and visit the Lakshmi temple before seeing the sunset and evening Arti over the royal Chhatris (Cenotaphs) on the Betwa River.
I really enjoyed my time in Orchha despite paying a lot for foreigner ticket to see the monuments, if you are already exploring Madhya Pradesh definitely add this as a stop it's not far from Kohjaraho and Gwalior.
Thank You for Watching, subscribe to my channel if you enjoyed

มุมมอง 291หลายเดือนก่อน
Gopachal rock-cut Jain monuments are a collection of Jain monuments found in the city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. These massive Tirthankaras date from the 14th to the 15th century, there are around 100 monuments spread around Gwalior, and these rock-cut temples are huge. This is some of the most impressive Jain art I've seen in India and a rich part of Jain history. If you are exploring ...

Do you have Rishikesh ( Yoga capital of the world ) on your places to visit list ? I'll be your local guide, if you would like that; let me know. Thanks and take care.
I visited from Kolkata on 7th Oct. Truly it proves that India had Buddhism in ancient times. India was almost the Birthplace of Buddhism. Although Amitava Buddha was from Nepal.
Going in 3 days!
Welcome lucknow
My supposition, the Kailasha temple/Ellora caves were accidentally built by the lost wax casting method. Flowing molten lava from an erupted volcano poured into Laksha/wood Mould (Mould created due to the burial of a temple made of wood and Laksha into sand). The people of town buried the Kailasha temple/Ellora caves (Mould made from wood and Laksha) with sand to save it from destruction caused by lava which created Laksha/wood Mould. Molten lava evaporates Laksha/wood and takes the place of Laksha/wood Mould and cooling of lava when the volcano silenced forms a monolithic Kailasha temple/Ellora caves once sand is removed.
Buddhist statue sitting in meditation posture
It’s a Jain Tirthankara but it does look similar to some Buddhist statues
Jain. Learn more bout your country. There is a symbol on the chest and is in Digambar form. You won't find them on Buddha sculptures. Only on Mahavir statue.
Nice
What is "bizarre" about it ? They just looked at sexuality without any filters or taboo, just as another small part of life...they did not condemn it or try to demean it
‘Bizarre’ meaning unusual, compared to most other temples in India that do not have these types of carvings and yes you are right about them not looking at sexuality as something that is taboo
@@joshi3dtravels - There is another symbolic reason for this portrayal on the temple.... it signifies that in the outside , you have pleasure and whatever else, when you go inside the temple, leave all this outside and then enter. When you enter the temple, you simply leave all these material aspects and come.
@@artus198 yes you are right, there are many reasons for these carvings
Massive amount of rock cut away, carved out - by at least 6 generations of people, working over 150 years or so - to complete this !

❤ super 😍
Also visit Hoysala temple in Karnataka
Awesome 👌
saddest part is kailash temple is not yet listed amoung the wonders of the world.
Tajmahal is way too over-rated. Ellora caves too under-rated. If any modern civilization were to undertake doing this (carving out a mountain at this level of intricate details), it would never be able to do it. The closest to this is Mt. Rushmore in USA and the Petra Temple in Jordan (but the level of details and complexity of those is no where close to Ellora caves).
Mesmerizing 😮

Incredible
Buddha is worship Lord Shiv, that's why in Buddhist culture they same talk like Lord shiv. In Afghanistan budda statue destroy by taliban statue is 1500 years old there statue destroy same in cave 4500 years old Lord shiv painting found,

The Lord Ram Temple u visited is quite famous. That's the no. 1 attraction for which tourists visit Orcha. In orcha this is still believed that Lord Ram is the king of Orcha. The high rank police officer and civil servants after getting posted in Orcha still goes to Lord Ram temple to let him know that they're posted here and get blessings of the king. When Lord Rama Temple in Ayodhya(Birth place of Lord Ram) was attacked by Muslim invaders in15th century then the priests of that temple threw the idol of lord Ram in Saryu River in order to protect it from the invaders. After some time the queen of orcha went to Ayodhya and i don't remember the reason but she tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river saryu but to her surprise she was automatically thrown outside on the bank of the river she tried again but failed and on her 3rd attempt when she was thrown again she found lord Ram's idol on her lap. Later that night she got a dream in Which Lord Ram said that she should take that idol with her back to orcha but be careful coz the place where she will first place the idol cannot be changed. So a big temple for Lord Ram was built for lord Rama in orcha but when she came back accidently the idol was somehow placed in the kitchen of the palace and since then it has been placed there but Lord Rama temple is still empty.
@@PawanGaur-r8d Thanks for all your information brother, very interesting 🙏❤️
@15:54 The term u use for them, i'm not sure if they're called the same in North India also. But i think it's flowers and it's a tradition in India to spread flower petals on ground to welcome our guests. Also some flowers are considered auspicious like Lotus is considered as the holiest flower in Hinduism as Laxmi(The goddess of wealth) sits upon a big lotus. So it's believe to bring prosperity. Another such sacred symbol u can see in many Hindu houses is Swastika which is also considered most sacred.
@12:46 unfortunately there are some idiots in our country who don't respect such ancient architectures of INDIA. U can see such graffiti all over India at such beautiful ancient places. Even though government has given warning that it's a punishable offense still it doesn't stop them from doing this.
Great video ❤️
Thanks ❤️
Notice the deliberate destruction by the Muslin invaders😮

Now these brilliant foreigners are also misguided.
Our ancestors were busy being civilized and creating amazing marvels while yours were cavemen and busy behaving like beastly animals.
Nobody really knows why our ancestors carved those eroticas on the wall of few temples. There are many theories though. Some say it was for sex education other say it was symbolic like it was only on the outside of temple walls and inside are the idols of the deities. So it suggested that to enter the temple a devotee must leave his lustful thoughts outside and can only meet the god with purity of mind.
Goosebumps by hearing sound of "Shankh" Felt like beginning of Mahabharat War.
Sir, you should go to Odisha to see the old temples of Hindustan India, otherwise it will take time to visit the whole of India, there is a lot of......😇😇😇 secret..🙏🙏🙏🚩🚩🚩🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳💐💐💐
Odisha looks amazing I would love to visit

Gautama Buddha is considered the 9th avatar of Lord Vishnu. Let's do some research and spread love, not hatred. Lots of love to my Buddhist friends from a Hindu brother!
Best comment 🙏
If he buddha was avtaar of vishnu then how many Buddha or buddhist temple made by hindus like they made temple for other avtar of Vishnu's like ram and Krishna in almost every village and cities . Or they just claim Buddha as vishnu avtaar to claim the ancient buddhist heritage as their own ,bcz buddhisam almost disappeared from India and no buddhist was there for around 1000 years to protect their heritage . Even Mahabodhi temple which is the most important buddhist site of buddhisam in bodh gaya , occupied by the so called hindus/Brahmins even till today to fill their pockets
1:40 they didnt messed up. They are tried to be destroyed by pissfull ☪️ religion.
