Sure my method is a little nuanced as I am using the approximated harmonic spectrum as close as we can find it on a piano with equal temperament and inharmonicity tuning adjustments accounted for in a very particular way for creating both the harmonic and the melodic intervals. If you want we can arrange a Skype lesson where I can show you the fundamentals the book is not out yet but I can send on your email some composition techniques and examples that you could use. I have been developing this system for 16 years now and I have found many different ideas for applications that effectively create a style much like classical harmony and counterpoint with different rules and modalities 🎹 my email is on my channel info 🙌🙂

@@timothyj.bowlby5524 Sure go for it, glad my music inspired you to create something, this particular piece is not twelve-tone composition its spectral but as we go up the harmonic spectrum eventually we get all the 12 notes of the piano in my piece titan steps you can see such chords with all different notes, spread between 4 hands and you can compress them down to one octave and arpeggiate them easily. What this does is effectively moving the fundamental lower and lower and that's the reason why the close-by intervals in the lower register sound muddy is because their fundamental is so low that it is no longer a human audible frequency it fall below 16 hertz so we can't really fuse them in our heads well.

There will be eventually, full disclosure it takes a lot of time to write for an instrument I don't play and when it comes to 4 string arpeggios the chords I could find are pretty limited so this piece should cover it. I think I will make number 2 with more jazzy chords and chords with open strings to use notes the hand can't reach otherwise. Perhaps with only three-strings chords instead of 4 for study number 3. However if you liked this one I have more violin pieces in my channel and in the duets for violin and flute the violin can also play the flute parts but would have to adjust the bowings to mimic the cantabile style. Also a string quartet is incoming so stay tuned for that 🙂🙂👋👋

He is an excellent composer indeed. He is using harmony in a very inventive way and also very correctly he must have studied the Tchaikovsky harmony book. The similarity must come from the fact that he was influenced by Armenian scales (he was Armenian and born in Georgia) and these scales have evolved together with Balkan and Mediterranean music that all use idioms of earlier Byzantine and Ancient Greek music. Here I am using a hybrid scale that is a blend of Phrygian and Dorian mode, the ancient Greek modes.

It’s not my original song so unfortunately I don’t have permission for that, the best thing I can do is as you see here showing the guitar on the video so you can see what I do if you play it in slower speed or freeze the screen and try it out on your guitar.
