I think it's expensive to live in the Philippines if you are a local poorer Filipino but not so much for a foreigner from the west. I'm an American and my cost is 40% of what it would cost me in America. I've been living in cebu city for going on 5 years now. Online dating has made it much more easier and faster these days to meet Filipinas. Now quality is in the eye of the beholder. It's pretty safe here in the Philippines as far as i have experienced visiting since 2007 and retired here since 2020. There are 2 main factors to your safety being 1 is your location and 2 your behavior.

I went on vacation to the Philippines but idk if you've been to America but the average American salary maker can live comfortably in the Philippines for cheaper than it would cost to live in the ghettos of America, Lets say it costs 3k per month to live lavishly in the Philippines/174,991 in your currency. In America, you would be considered low-class and need government assistance, so yes the Philippines is cheap for Americans

The reason the job market is so tough is because your country doesnt allow FDI except in a few select areas (like BPO). Foreign corporations and companies want to invest in the Philippines but they are legally prohibited from most industries. These employers would provide jobs, but your country explicitly bans them from investing and creating jobs "to leave that industry open to Filipino companies only". That, and your governments are so corrupt that they havent been able to figure out reliable power generation, so no major factories or production plants can operate either.

Trust but verify. I was going through a very bad divorce when I met my Filipina online and I knew at the time that I wanted to find a filipina wife and wanted to move to the Philippines so I was completely open and honest with every girl that I met on a Filipina dating site and out of the 30 or so people that I talked to I would say that only about 6 of them were legit and only 3 of them were being completely open and honest with me. I chose one of those girls and I can say that I am happily married and living in the Philippines now and we are about to have our second son. There are a lot of liars out there so this video is correct and you need to follow Ms Mon's advice and verify and investigate. Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions because that I how you find out if they are lying or telling the truth. When you meet someone you need to video chat and make sure to ask the other person to show you around their house when they don't expect it and if they dont want to show you then they are trying to hide something.

There's lots of unhealthy things here that I guess are considered "normal". Just a few are, men everywhere urinating against a wall or fence in public. I had a guy walk up just a few feet from my teenage daughter and start pissing off the pier. Another is the constant open burning often laden with plastic and other toxic materials. They think it helps the plants and gets rid of mosquitos. Another, unrestrained dogs everywhere that reproduce endlessly. Barking, howling and fighting all night. Btw, I've never actually heard a filipino scold their noisey dog, ever! Oh and mens love affair with their fighting cock! They carry them everywhere and treat them better than their kids. 😵‍💫 How about sodas and sugar in everything and carbs off the chart while diabetes and high blood is common in 40 year old people. The list goes on and on and no restraint in sight. 😥

Too much drama, small minded petty mentality, too much tampo, cultural differences, having to support the entire family 🙄….not worth it!
