Jimmy Smith was a legend jazz organist ! No other organist came close!❤😊
Excellent
Thanks for uploading this. For me David Glasper is tied with Alexander O'Neal for first place for my favourite voice/ the best voice I've heard. I was born in the early 90s and discovered Breathe in a reaction video here on YT a couple of years ago. My favourite song by them is In All Honesty.
The Master!

Don't ask, listen ✌️
Great music✌️
Nice, no lipsync...
That's some supercool, amazing shit right there, making a big sound for a four piece, absolutely love it.
He was in my class at school for a few years.
i met him. in cambo
Hands to Heaven has to be one of the most amazing compositions ever written.
David is one of the best❤ still has a beautiful voice to this day. I just wish he was well enough to continue professionally and bring us new music. I wish him peace and happiness. He's been through such a rough life😢❤
Such great Jazz music! I got see & hear Jimmy Smith perform in the late 1980s. He was often performing in Columbus, Ohio. We have a couple summertime festivals, along our river front. They created a smaller venue, where the audience could sit as close as 4 feet away from the action. It was awesome to be that close. I'd been listening to Jimmy since the early 1970s, when I was in college. I own many of his record albums. My friends were into Rock music, and I wasn't, I was always a fan of Jazz. My other favorite group was The Ramsey Lewis Trio, who I also got to see live in Cleveland, Ohio and in Columbus, Ohio.
I saw Jimmy in Columbus at the old major chord… 1986. Great show.
Keyboards Mickey Simmonds , thanks for posting this, it was such a great band.
This is a nice gem. Ive been looking for some live footage of this band, but never could find anything until now. Thanks for posting 😁
I am in my early 20s and i just dicovered BREATHE this week and their ssongs brings me to a peaceful phase. I love every song especially Hands to heaven
How did Ian die? Virtually no info about his death online and why did Michael leave?
I think I remember reading something somewhere that he died in a car accident, but not sure if that's actually true.
@@tshirtjay it’s just so strange to me there is virtually no info about his death
he passed away in a car accident and not too long after that David's wife and daughter were also killed in a tragic car accident. David pretty much went off the deep end after that and has suffered with mental health issues for the last 25 years. He lives quietly in Thailand where he still occasionally plays shows and sings his new songs. he recorded a new album in 2007 and half of it is available on streaming services, released finally in 2015, put the newest record he tried to make in 2016 fell apart due to his mental state. He's just simply not well enough to put things together anymore.😢
How much you want for the car
Mr. KB is such a great jazz guitarist, always plays with creativity & class. ❤️😎🌎
Stupid question!
Thank you so much for posting the video!
All that jazz and don't tell me lies my favourite songs of all time 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
David Glasper is an exceptional live singer - one of the best voices that ever was. To amend a great record like HTH to suit the stage in a live venue shows smarts and confident musical dexterity.
Jimmy in full Slingblade mode
Yup...hands to heaven
❤ красиво!
am enjoying the music
Over the Top mais je me demande ce que ça donnerait micro voix coupé de temps en temps
Ohoo du bon jazz avec Smith, javais 15 ans et jappreciais deja son style ooh ou est Miss Allen?!!!😢❤❤❤
I would love to hear How Can I Fall ❤. Although this is really great to see and hear! The three created a great band around them. Not the pre-recorded crap you hear now. What an amazing live vocalist David is! 🔥
Heyyyy now
I still contend that David Glasper was one of the very best singers..... Ever. Easily top 3 of all time.
Breathe was a little too much on the Ballad side for me, but I put Glasper up there with George Michael. I've always loved that guy's voice. I think they didn't have as much success because they were just too bogged down with the R&B side of things. When they did POP stuff, it was good. "Say a Prayer" was really catchy, but it was only one single and you can't sell albums with the majority of the album being R&B and blues sounding. They did it well, but it just doesn't sell in large numbers...
And he's Welsh lived not far from me
I think this is a must-see live for anyone who likes UK soul. I can enjoy stylish pop music.
Hands to heaven....que temazo!!!
@2:42 “Hands to Heaven”
This is what I'm talking about... Thanks for making this available to the world! Love it!
Thanks for posting. I followed them from the start in 85. My brother new the original bassist Mick Delahunty which is how I got to follow them. Wished id seen them live. Great band.
👍
Any Trick Hands to Heaven Jonah Monday Morning Blues Love this set. Wish they played Won’t You Come Back and Liberties of Love they’re my favorite b-sides. David Glasper has so much energy here wow, Spike too!
Como cambian los tiempos. Hoy la música es de pésima calidad y como se echa de menos esos buenos grupos que sonaban increibles y no necesitaban apoyo tecnológico para sonar bien. Gracias por subir este video.
wow! thanks for the upload!
😢Hands to Heaven💜That song sings to my heart &, How can I fall ☺️🌺💜
Why did they have to keep the mic open on the grunts... would have been so much slicker without it.. seems like they wanted to amplify that so much they even had feedback coming in from turning it up so loud...
Some gold back Dayton’s n Vogues 🏆
They sound so great. Spike is really working during Any Trick ❤
they sound even better when they perform live
Got that rugalater workin
