Storm Darragh aftermath
Six days after the storm I visited one of my favourite plantations to see the damage caused. After a while I stopped for a brew before exploring a bit more.
The department looking after the island's plantations have been working hard to reopen them as hundred of trees have been destroyed and have blocked paths and car parks.
Hope you enjoy the video.

Sulby reservoir to Montpellier wood walk.
มุมมอง 642 หลายเดือนก่อน
A walk I did in August from Sulby reservoir to Montpellier wood. It was a dry, sunny day but a bit windy at times. The walk took me up towards Slieau Dhoo and down across the fields towards the wood. I lost the path down to Montpellier but managed to correct my mistake and get down safely so I could explore an old house and the wood. Thanks for watching.

Your video was truly beautiful and inspiring. As a fellow creator, I appreciate the effort you put into it. Sub and 👍4
Thanks for that. It's appreciated.
What a heavily felled forest you have. Impressive!
We've more gales coming next week so more damage to come unfortunately.
Unfortunately, you can't argue with nature.
Nice video Ellan. Winds can be powerful. Thank you for sharing and take care 😊
@NorwayHikesTrails wehave had another windy night again so likely more damage. Thanks for watching.
Thanks you for the awesome Tarp set up!!
@kevinahern7818 thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Nice video mate 👍 they've all been hit, some more than others, not good for the wildlife the beaches are the same, lots of starfish, dogfish all washed up 👍
@manxwoodsman4719 it's a shame. I can't remember a storm that bad in years.
You can't beat a good old muddy walk. Fantastic hike out with you. Thank you for taking me along in your pocket. Brilliant video. Lovely footage 👌 ❤
@ladyintheskyuk thanks for saying that. It's one of my favourite walks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice. What size tarp is that? Did you regret the direction you pitched it at, or was it ok with the wind?
@@RC-qf3mp it's a 3m x 3m DD tarp. It was fine in the wind as it was.
👍☕️🇲🇨
@@Arifarifcamping thanks
Cool, it's always good to go out to the nature and spend some time in peace and quiet. I'm looking forward to go myself this weekend too :-)
@@lazesobie you can't beat it 👍
Как же это красиво,река и т.д.
It's a lovely part of the Island indeed.
Such a clean setup, perfect tarp game and nice video. Thank you!
Thanks @simonwandersen . I appreciate the sub too.
Peaceful video, thanks for sharing💚💚
Thanks for watching@@AnupAdventures

@ thank you from the other side of the Irish Sea
Enjoyed this videos. Subbed 👍🙂 Cheers from Norway
Looks like a great camp location 🙂👍
@stigfloberghagenphotography it is. My brother and me camped there earlier this year. It's a great spot.
@Ellanvanninadventures 🙂👍
Matt from Airborne pirates did a video there. Check it out th-cam.com/video/tpjaSPZ07nY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7s5HMFY25JGHWhca
Nice one Pal. Any 'robed ghouls' floating around.? 👻
@@mylahskategirl none that I could see 💀
Nice one mate! Very nice, enjoyed the sounds of nature 😊
Thanks Matt.
A great little video. You had a cracking day for it.
@@cathykennedy1788 It was indeed. Thanks for watching.
Great video, enjoyed that one. Just subscribed to show my support, from a fellow TH-camr 😉👍
@PhilDodsworthOutandAbout I'll have a look at your channel when I get a chance. Thanks for subscribing.
Thanks mate. Appreciate that👍
A nice little watch, thanks. Good to know it’s not just me who goes off piste 😅 I suspect the place you left the greenway track to head down to Montpelier wasn’t quite right. I think from memory there is a bench and a footpath sign at the top. Anyway as you say, it was a good adventure and that’s what matters 😀
@cathykennedy1788 I'm usually pretty confident in my navigation but I clearly got it wrong there. That's why I'm honest about making a mistake in my videos 😀 I'll keep an eye out next time I'm up there. Thanks for watching.
I’ve always wanted to do this walk but haven’t had the time recently. The views do look great though!
They are indeed@@jamesd4944. it's worth the effort.
Beautiful place to walk around and get some fresh air. I enjoyed watching this my dear friend.
@naturemyeyes it is indeed. Thanks for watching.
Sileau Freoghane is one of the best hidden gems we have. Managed to catch a glimpse of the sunset up there about a month ago and it was spectacular!
@@jamesd4944 I bet it was. It's a great view from there and not that difficult to get to. Thanks for watching.
I didn’t know that the marine research building had been demolished, wow what a shame. I havnt been down that part of Port Erin for ages. Great video again.
Thanks Richard. The building burned down a while ago so it was demolished.
Great view mate!
It is indeed 👌
Plan to do this walk very soon! What you've shown makes it look very pretty. Great video!
Thanks@@jamesd4944. I've done it a few times now. It's one of my favourites.
Hi mate, another good video 👍 our island looks good this time of year, did you recognise me driving the mobile library? 👍
@manxwoodsman4719 I wondered who it was. I was racking my brains thinking who it was 😀
👍👍
Nice little video, we'll have to get out for a brew and chat. 👍
Our northern beaches are just the best. Thank you for sharing.
They are indeed mate. It's a lovely part of the Island.
wow interesting experience
