If I could provide a criticism, I don't like how the Captain is being characterized in the opening sequence. If what I'm about to describe is how you intend to characterize him, then I suppose the criticism would be unfounded, but something feels off to me. I wouldn't have made him oppressively bossy. Sure, the man speaking to him, presumably Commando, may have overstepped his bounds, so perhaps the gruff dismissive response was warranted, but then Commando voices a genuine reason to consider, what if this IS how the Contact Light was lost? It's a good point, and a good leader would consider it. But instead Captain responds with the tried and true response of "Are you questioning me?" which isn't word for word what he said, but it is in effect the same, because of course, leadership is never to be challenged or examined, and any outside objections or even suggestions are threats. I know that's a pretty unflattering way of painting this, but it's how I always feel when a leader gives that type of response. It's a red flag, I think. It suggests he doesn't have faith in his crew to listen to what they have to say, and considers only his own opinion and word to be reliable. This is how I would rewrite the interaction: \So it's a trap? This sounds like a trap! Sir, we should turn around, go home! We'll be at the destination in only 4 hours! \You're overstepping your bounds, Private. You are not the captain here. \I... I'm sorry, sir. I just- What if we're walking into what got the Contact Light? \Then we come armed with that knowledge. The Contact Light in all likelihood did not know of the danger. We do. \I... I understand.

Man. This game took it out of me when I first played it. I watched Markiplier play it back in the day, and when I decided to play on my own, I almost broke due to mine and Niko's relationship. I truly felt for the kid. Now I know Niko is supposed to be androgynous, you're supposed to see whatever you want to see in Niko, but the first time I saw Niko, I kinda thought Niko was female due to some mannerisms and general body shape. So from now on I'll refer to Niko as 'she/her'. When she started crying in the cafe, wow... I almost broke out crying for her in real life too. I just wanted to give Niko a hug, because she definitely needed one. And after I found the stuff needed for the true ending, I was DETERMINED to get Niko back to her mom.
