I can tell you pretty much exactly what they are thinking. The value of the skin likely won't increase over time. Its a specific cultural thing on asian servers, prominently in Korea for example, where people like to flex on others with their money. We've seen it in WoW and Riot Mortdog indirectly confirmed it talking about 200$ TFT little legends. There are other cultures that value expensive in game items differently. They probably go down argument chains like the one you presented here that support these greedy and predatory practices.

Something that might help, if you hold left click after firing, you only bolt after you release, that way you can see your shot after firing.

I'm pretty sure most of those missed. Get used to holding mouse button after you shoot so you can confirm where the bullet landed before racking another round
