Great review very informative. Can you get 60miles on a single battery using the lowest power setting.i have a regular 60mile journey I’m looking to ditch the car for. I would be looking to use it in full power USA mode.
@@paulcanton9827 60 miles? No. I have measured it many times. For a 200 lb payload at pas2 (18mpg) you get 40 miles. Which is very good. Pas1 would give you more but at 12mph which is slow. Not good for a very long commute. And at any rate you don't want to spend so much time on the saddle.
i buy this stupid bike not getting 50 km/ 1 charge . company is total bad people , no customer service
@@DX21033 Really? Maybe there's something wrong. I have sold my T1 now but I did thorough tests. Carrying 200lbs, in pas2, it will do a total range of 40 miles (48km) - but that's it. If you use pas1 you will get more but that's quite slow
Ostin Fiido T1 pro (48v)n20AH ) keväällä 2024 muutaman viikon kuluttua siihen tuli vika? Peukalokaasu ei enää toiminut.Lähetin Fiidom Tallinnaan takuu huoltoon, 15.5.2024 sain pyörän takaisin 3.9.2024 huolto kesti 3,5 kk Ajoin pyörällä,niin huomasin että sama vika on edelleen Fiidossa??? Eivät saaneet korjattua vikaa??? Taisin tehdä vikaostoksen..?
Id just get a standard throttle and replace instead of messing with switches i dont think youd hafto change the full controller for the price of a thuumb throttle be worth a shot
I have the Phnholun C6 Pro and after a day of raining it's say E4 do you think it's the same problem than you ? And how i could fix that ?
my L3 wont take me above 10 mph no matter how fast you spin the pedals unlocked and on 3 assist , the throttle on the other have will take me on a flat road well over 20mph plus, all my other e bikes will ghost pedal up to their rated max speed. any ideas why my L3 will not peddle faster even if ghost pedaling ?
I wonder if it might be a faulty cadence sensor. it would be easy to replace it and see
Thank you for your review. I'm also choosing between the T1 and the L3. I feel like I'll probably go with the L3. But will I be missing out a lot compared to the T1? Also, I live in an area with moderate but long hills. About 5-10 percent grade. Will they be a problem for the L3? Thank you for your input😎
Because of those small wheels on the L3, it climbs hills really great. I used to live in Cork city where the hills are staggering and never had a problem with either of these two bikes. Apart from that I personally prefer the L3 because it's so handy and useful as well as transportable like if you were going away abroad and needed to bring it.
My L3 has been all over Mexico, central and south America. Simply fold and put under the bus if you don't feel like riding.
T1 pro owner here also have a G-Force C14 folder like the fiido L3, they use the exact same batteries!! Bought the G force for one tenth the cost of the T1 because it was broken, now it's mended:)
Well done on that cheap deal. These little bikes are all about the batteries. The L3 was 849 Euro when I got it. To replace the battery is over 700 in cost. You would never order a second battery - just get a second bike.
A quick update. I did manage to properly unlock the bike at the display. I had to try it a few times before it played ball. The wheel spun up to 41kmhr. On the road it hits 32kmhr(20mph). So this is a great help.
By the way, I never removed the plastic cover film on the display since new. I just realised that when looking at the video
I totally forgot to mention in the video about the controller. So when I got delivery of this 2nd generation Fiido T1, I decided to change out the new controller and use the previous one from the original bike. This turned out good since it allows you to pedal all the way to the top speed. With the revised one they provided, they limited the top speed to 23k/hr(15mph). If you wanted to go faster than that you had to stop pedalling and use the thumb throttle only. That was a really stupid idea and was probably the result of EU pressure etc.So now it's much more natural - like the old one.Apart from that there is no difference in power or appearance between the two controllers. Just a software configuration.
OP, what is that center basket in the step through area of the bike? I'm looking for something like that FOR AGES for my T1 Pro.
You can is buy that from Radrunner website. It used to fit on the original T1 perfectly. For the revised version you see here, you will need to melt the bottom of the plastic with a blow torch or a hot gun in order to morph the shape slightly. The plastic is pretty hard. It has been a useful item for carrying stuff. The cupholder at the top was not very well though out. Cost is 100 Euro
Why do you need to slide forward off of the saddle when you stop in traffic? Just stay seated like most people do. Not come across anyone do what you do before. It seems to just be your problem and not really an issue for most.
Because when I ride I like max saddle heigth so as to give full power to my legs. So I have to jump down at traffic lights on one leg. If I ride it with saddle low it pulls my back out
Shame that your videos are not Hi Def
I only had a 720p camera
Theres a combination you can do by holding the breaks and throttle in turn it on and wait for a flash. Something along those lines to change the restricted speed settings, people have TH-cam videos showing it
Wat is dit for video!!! Debiel
Thanks for the review. Do you have a link to the handlebar stem you used?
The subtitles says "riser stem" perhaps this may help you
Thanks for your educational experience and resources and support and explaining exactly how well this cargo bicycle performs and I've also been comparing fiido e-bike bike to the rad runner bicycle and the fiido e-bike is a great bicycle and the battery is definitely something to consider the rad runners are more expensive and this fiido e-bike is a great price for the features and it is well built as far as the battery goes a lot of the other newer e-bikes have up grad battery's without adding an other battery lots of choices this fiido e-bike says you can get 95 miles on on charge and the tires are something to consider you can get different tires so when the original tires and battery on the fiido e-bike wears out you can just upgrade the battery and tires and on the front basket I would probably add something to the bottom of the basket and I haven't seen anything on the rear baskets for the fiido e-bike and the saddle bags or nice but rear rack would work out better because its much more sufficient for cargo and I've texted the fiido company and I haven't gotten any response from them on any of my questions still looking for answers thanks for your opinion. God-bless.
If you buy a used T1 make sure it is the new strengthened frame incase a twat like this is trying to sell you the old dangerous one .
Hello, I would be grateful if you could provide a link to the riser stem you purchased for the bike, as I'm considering buying the bike myself, thanks.
The riser.stem for the saddle comes with the bike
@@stevemccormack9948 I meant the one for the handlebars, thanks.
Hi, does the throttle on this version work properly as a variable throttle or like the older one which was just an on off switch ? thanks
I'm interested in this bike but don't like the display. I would want to put a different controller and display on the bike.
Are you in Ireland? I want one but laws coming in Q1 2024 putting me off!
Yes I'm in Ireland. Which laws? I didn't hear lately
@@stevemccormack9948 there’s a few articles wrote on it back in September ish time. Anything over 25kmph or 250watt motor will be a new class of transportation. Requiring license, registration, tax and insurance. There working on the administration for it I believe. But it is going to take longer than that I would say. There are definitely trying to put something in place. Really goes against the whole low emissions carbon etc. load of bollox but while there are e-bikes they will be kids getting their hands on them and driving recklessly. unfortunately we all suffer
@@meanfitness Yes of course. But its very telling that they would not just up the speed limit to 30kph which would be fine for everyone. Government wants to controll every aspect of people's lives.
Hi, I can't really find the difference between Pro? Except I guess it's more beefier? Do they have same range? Is the motor more powerful.
No the motor is the same. The controller on the revised bike is limited to 23kph.
Be careful don't bought these bike, this is not a suitable winter bike. There is a weak spot under the battery for water to enter easily. I have the same bike and it actually broke down. I hope the manufacturer will look into this issue. If they put a little silicone in the holes, the problem will be solved. It is a catastrophic weakness.
My bike did the same but my display flashed E-1 That in the end was 2 wires out of sequence on 1 of the 5 pin JST connectors to handlebars. My bike is T-1 version 2 a replacement bike I received after frame recall. Your bike may be an updated display and controller does your manual list show what E-2 May be?
I have the same issue with my bicycle so please guide what should i do
@garyfyvie9490
Hello, maybe you can help, I received a Fiido T1 bike yesterday, today I have this problem, there is an E2 error on the display and the maximum speed is 3 km, also the engine does not work and the rear wheel does not turn, I do not know what the reason is, thank you very much!)
Going from memory, double check the wire plug connector on right side near the back motor. If it was disconnected its an easy fix. Just connect it. Its on right rear fork.
Pas2 is perfect for peddling at 30kmh at the heavist gear . U can really only throttle at pas 3 at 45kmh as you are ghost paddling
I replaced that goofy red connector in my ebike with a much more standard T-plug. The battery case top has a socket with AWG10 wire and choice of xt90 or xt60 connector. For the bike side I found a 90 degree T-plug with AWG12 (thickest I could find). It took a little whittling down on the plug and holder but eventually got in and it still works as the original. But the original had 1.5 mm^2 wire so this is 4.0mm square which is a big upgrade. I have a video showing it.
Your battery still going strong or have you replaced the cells?
Yes, battery is still good with about 3000 miles now. Have not used the bike lately.
@@stevemccormack9948That's crazy. I expected it to at least become worse after 1 year. You do 80 20 charging?
I will buy this book to my brother-in-law this Christmas thank you
Hello do you know of a rear 12t sprocket that will work on this bike ? Thanks
No buy there are 11 tooth sprockets to be bought on the net

super helpful thank you
You could throttle the bike at 25kmh?❤
Does anyone know if there’s a speed unlock for the L3 yet?
Yes , as far as I can tell this is possible with the USA version, but I'm not sure if it will work on the European version. See review by ElektroTV " Fiido L3 Speed Unlock (2023) Guide "
You throttle has gone..
Nice review, very thorough. Can you tell us who makes that battery? Samsung? LG? Panasonic? etc.
It's all Chinese including the battery cells
The hub motor is 350w how is that allowed in UK law?
@@winniepeg2020 It scares me riding that because I remember seeing police in London stop and confiscate the ebikes of many people. Maybe the police have become lax now.
Hi! Thanks a lot for this review. Quick question where did you buy the black case that you put in the middle?
Looks like it only really needs a front fender that comes down further. That one doesn't look like it would keep mud out of your eyes. 15:00 - You're right, 25 kph (15.5 mph) is really pretty slow. Here in the USA, The Powers That Be chose 20 mph as the max speed of our lowest class of eBikes. The rationale was that this is a speed easily attainable to an athletic person on a lightweight road bike. Since the intention is to make these equivalent, what is the point of making them slower than a purely mechanical road bike? Here in the USA, we have a three class system: Class 1 = 20 mph maximum assisted speed. No throttle option. Class 2 = 20 mph max. electric speed; assisted or throttle Class 3 = 20 mph max. on throttle, 28 mph (45 kph) max. on assist. Class 1 bikes are allowed on all bike trails, as they are considered equivalent to a mechanical bike. 15:35 - re. "10 lbs. heavier than what I would like." Forgive me for asking, but how heavy is the engine? (you) How much weight do you add with all your cargo? A lot of cyclists here are counting ounces, but the rider himself is 30 lbs. overweight. :-D I hold myself responsible. 16:40 - I've read (can't remember where) that keeping the battery in the 20-80% range typically will result in the battery lasting 3X as long. When you know you are going on a longer trip, charge it to 100% no more than a day in advance and use the entire charge; you'll be fine. This is not an everyday occurrence, so it won't have a notable impact. More later; got to run.
Did you get any support from Fido?
Who can I talk to about the fiido in tech support? Customer service is terrible. If I cant get a connection with real support I will not get one. Thanks for your video.
I always found support great. Then again I bought 2 bikes off them. If you have particular queries about the T2 or L3 let me know
Steve, Please do you know how many wires are in the cable to the motor. I want to fit an in line connector and need to know the number of pins for the connector. thanks.
Its a 9 pin as I recall. about 8 wires are used
@@stevemccormack9948 Thanks.
How tall are you? I want to put the same console on mine, but it doesn't look like it will fit under the sattle at the hight I have it set at.
I am 5'10". When I stop at traffic lights I normally jump down on one foot so I can easily manage the centre console that way. If you are much smaller than that the centre box might be a problem. But bear in mind that the box can still be lowered on the new T1 by about 1/2 inch lower than what you see it here on the video - I would need to melt the plastic floor more in order to morph it into shape for the new T1. On the original bike it was easier mounted, though on the new bike it sits lower overall by about an inch
May I ask if you can put a link to where you bought the tray for the battery?
Can a XT-90 connector fit the battery connector
U can even get them with tabs on the sides to put a screw or bolt through eachside be ideal 👍
@@whitefeatherslinger8194 thanks but it’s been a year, got a new bike
@@AceCubeGaming not happy with the fiido? Ive the m21 gotta be the best one of that type out there imo
Just an update to this video. Fiido actually have solved some concerns here by sending out the new replacement bike which has Hydraulic brakes. Much better but then they included a controller which limits the speed to 15mph. I was able to replace it with the old one which gives the faster speed. Also there is a different cadence sensor which gives smoother acceleration. By the way, the replacement brake callipers shown in the video dramatically broke both front and back at the same time - the 1st week of frost caused metal expansion and the hydraulic flied leaked out. I put back on the old brakes. The semi-hydraulic were a great idea but not too well made. I had no incentive to repair them as I feel you would be doing it again after a few months... I guess if you got the same design of brake from Shimano it would be a good idea but at a higher cost . .
