Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve been looking everywhere for this song. We sang it all the way back in 2005 for our biennial music festival as a dedication to the children that were lost in hurricane Katrina. KC Williams came and sang it live with us. It makes me emotional to think about. I don’t think I’ll ever forget it, but I wanted to hear it so bad. 🥹

Alotta private release tapes like this can be found, probably more out there than vinyl private press. Tapes were such a cheap and effective format for home musicians. Love it.

Hey Joe, Vicki here. If you would, please post a photo of the back of this album? Because this brilliant original lineup was who you heard on WNEW-FM, New York, back in the day. The song, 'Heart On Fire', as well as 'Storybook Love', and 'Deaf, Dumb and Blind' really made me a fan. These songs drive! Dinah's singing put it over the top!

You should show the back of the cover with the personnel. Lyle Mays was in this band. I was at UW-EC when this was recorded but not in this band. They were great!

I was on this recording on alto sax with Randy Wanless on lead alto sax. This has been a blast to hear the entire album since I lost mine along the way. I listened to the live performance of PEOPLE from The Elmhurst Jazz Festival where we were competing, three times just now and Al Johnson’s trumpet performance gave me goosebumps all three times!!! Wow wow wow. Having been in this band has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Dominic Spera was amazing. 👍🏻 One of a kind. 🌹

I saw MR warm up for Cheap Trick in about 1983 in a dive ballroom in New Munich, MN. I've never forgotten it. Cheap Trick were at a low ebb in their career and Robin Zander looked strung out and not real happy to be playing in such a shithole. But they killed it nonetheless. MR was fun to hear. As a 12 year old kid I remember thinking these guys are the shit!
