Love The Room DIY 001 || Kid's Room Upgrade
มุมมอง 3616 ปีที่แล้ว
Moulding can make a huge difference in a small space like this kid's room. Pat from Benevolent Design Co. helped transform this space by replacing all of the builder grade Colonial moulding with more modern profiles. The new Craftsman Collection at Lowe's Home Improvement achieved just the look we were looking for. However, this DIY project can be customized with the moulding and paint color of...

Hi No legs at all, just the 3/4" plywood?..what are the measurements, or how do I decide how big the headboard should be.? As wide as the bed or how much bigger than the width of bed. Thank you

Nice design.. just made this. However the material list is not right. These are 1x4 not 1x6.. also for the main piece I only used 7 1x4 boards and not 10. Think about how you want to fasten to wall and add that to the material list as well. I am just fastening 1x6 to the back and running down to floor and attaching to bed frame.

Cam Morrison Hi Cam. I’d like to create this headboard as well but there seems be a lot of information missing about the cuts before installing on the plywood. How did you measure when you got to the small pieces at the top and the shorter corner piece? Also, what is the spaces measurement between the boards?

I love the way you guys trimmed this out. Nice job. My husband is a skilled tradesman and preferred that we just spent the money on proper materials and so we used a T&G in the bedroom and furred out first because the house is old and still has the old lath. We just did not want to deal with the budget job of having plywood cut by someone else or take the time to rip it at home and fussing with spacing. Not to mention 8’ lengths would have created more work and we would not have been able to hand the pieces up to the second story window. It saved all that stair climbing. Sometimes its just better to spend the money to save the aggravation. The ceiling was quite irregular with a previous owners’ very poorly done patch job when a wall was taken out. Our job went quickly and now looks amazing without any cussing or yelling LOL!!!! We still need to trim it out. Hardest part was just handing each board up to the second story window and loading materials from the store. It took my husband and I 7 hours with breaks total to put up a 22’ x 11.5’ ceiling using 12’ pieces. Gotta love no seams! Thanks for sharing.
