Riding roads and drinking brews around the north of England
TAKE MY MONEY NOW! We ride the DUCATI MULTISTRADA V4S GRAND TOUR
Well, that was a surprise... didn't know what to expect, took it out with open mind and eyes (useful, I know) and was happily blown away by the Multistrada Grand Tour. Huge thanks to Ash, Russ and the team at Ducati Preston for getting me out on my first-ever Ducati ride and to @mymoto-uk for kitting us out with some epic RST gear and a Bell helmet.

Riding back from Preston I thought it would be a good idea to show the local area off and just see how practical the Triumph Rocket 3R can be away from the usual A roads. What I didn't cater for was how narrow some of the lanes are! How does it cope? Surprisingly well! A huge thanks to @officialtriumph for lending us the machinery to get back out on the road with and to @mymoto-uk for kitting u...

Our first ride on the outstanding Triumph Rocket 3R! We ride from Cliviger to Hollingworth Lake through Todmorden. It's a slower ride for the first outing just to get used to the size and power of the Triumph before the next three of episodes take us to the Trough of Bowland, Pendle and the final ride over to Malham Cove. A huge thanks to @officialtriumph for lending us the machinery to get bac...

It was great while it lasted but the Tiger had to go back to Triumph for another lucky individual to ride and it goes with my blessing - what a great all-round motorcycle! Aysgarth to Skipton through Upper Wharfedale on the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro... A beautiful road, great scenery, and a fabulous motorcycle to do it on. Just ignore the three stalls, though! It can only get better :-) A huge thanks to @officialtriumph for lending us the machinery to get back out on the road with and to @mymoto-uk for kitting us out with some epic RST gear and a Bell helmet. like...

มุมมอง 2229 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this show we take the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro out in the balmy Lancashire winter (we can hope) from the home village of Barrowford back to the bikes resting place in Cliviger. We find out my background in road riding, the joys of the 900 GT Pro and an encounter with a couple of lizards on the roadside... Enjoy! A huge thanks to @officialtriumph for lending us the machinery to get back out o...
Ep. 1 - Back on the ROAD after 18 YEARS!
มุมมอง 3929 หลายเดือนก่อน
Welcome to my new channel! I'll be documenting my return to riding after a long hiatus and hopefully building a community alongside the regular racing podcast. I want to know what roads you like, what cafe's you visit, best bike nights all in the north of England and I'll do my best to join the fun! Like, subscribe, drop a comment below to let us know what you'd like to see and where we can rid...
I currently have a GS1250 and although it has the low seat and lowered suspension I am still on tiptoe. I really want a bike that I can flat foot and although I love the GS I need to find a similar bike that will suit my needs. Maybe the Multistrada would be more suitable as it can also be lowered. Any advice welcome.
Watching this is a complete waste of time
I just bought a 2023 demo in the same color, I'm loving it.
I love mine.
Awesome scenery Dave what a ride I note you said about almost seeing the curvature of the earth ,does this mean the earth isn't flat in your opinion 😉 great watch much enjoyed keep up the good work and content 👌👍
Now that is one monster of a bike Dave kudos for trying her out not sure I would have just for the weight an shunting it about ,it's ok when your on the road and running I am sure very impressive .👌👍
I know that road to Tod Dave very close to my new home this is a fun watch 😉Cafe / Tattoos and bike culture visit Vagary on the road out of Tod to Halifax on the left as you approach those deadly speed cameras Kate and Steve proper bikers really super friendly ,and has a couple of nice bikes inside too always a smile and good chat plus a brilliant tattoos and Kate does piercings too should that be your thing .Nicely done what a machine 👌👍
Snow in them there hills kudos on being out in them temperatures , the podcasts are awesome Dave much need to promote the best sport in the world . It's a family in biking I always nod or wave .😉👌👍
Great watch Dave some fab roads there and not far from me either ,Totally agree on Silverstone I went there during the 500 GP years and frankly you are better off watching on TV although the atmosphere on those weekends years ago was brilliant .So when you go to do the podcasts on the bike will Jen be on the back or does she ride herself ? "just curious "I also had a 16yr break and went back to the bikes best thing I ever did after a long struggle with mental health due to an illness . My current bike is in Firefox in Keighley it's been sorted for this summer and when the rain stops I'll be picking it up "if it stops"😉👌👍
👌👍
Off track on the road Dave got some catching up to do, late to the party but good one what a bike .👌👍
I have had one since March, it is an awesome bike. I also have a Monster SP and this is as much fun, but in a different way!
I’ve had my V4s travel radar for a year now. These are without doubt the most amazing motorcycles. Just back from a 3 hour trip round central mid wales. Walking speed or warp speed it’s a joy🤪👍🏻
Great review thank you 👍 I got mine in December, the weathers been that crap and work also, that I've only just had the the first service done 😂 Mine has the Full Akra and it is probably the best bike I've owned to date along with the Aprilia Tuono This thing is balastic when its wound up and covers ground with complete ease in Armchair comfort 👍😁
If I won the lottery I would swap my 1200 multistrada for one of these in a heartbeat 👍
Yes, it's a great bike. But is it better than the king of the hill, the mighty GS? Against the new GS1300 or the R1250GS Adventure?!
I think that the V2S Multi is probably better suited to those roads. The V4 feels like it would be a bit of a waste. But it depends on what you like I suppose.
How was the engine heat?
I like the camera angle What do you use to record?
Have you tried the Stelvio and the Norden? Looking at these three and wondering if the Doc is well worth the much higher price for a commuter or settle for the cheaper guys?
Wait until you get some seat time in on the Rocket that is when the real fun starts.
You got it, first ride nonsence is just noncence, get know it, drift, tune it and for next 2 Y, smile and adrenaline in buckets. mine 2,5Y 50t kms tuned and still researching big fun.
@@Marco182-pl9wq 86,000 miles on my 2020 GT and still grinning.
I had no idea there were wide open space over there. I thought it was one township after another with few spectacular vistas. Thanks for the post. So different than where I live. But get that throttle pegged! That is where the fun lives on a Rocket.
Loving the different camera angles mate
Steady away, Phil! It was rushed edit so forgot the map 🤦🏼♂️🙄
Nice looking and sounding bike mate… was that bus Mr Rutter as it looked very Bathams esque…😂👍🏻 Love the new camera angles and the 360 gives some cool shots… lovely scenery as ever 👍🏻
It definitely did 😂 thanks Craig, it’s a slow-burner of a project but improving slowly but surely
Having ridden one whilst my 1200 twin was in for a service I borrowed one. What a phenomenal machine. That was 18 months ago and I’ve been searching down the back of the sofa, but still not found that £20k to spend on one. That’s one ticked off, now back to Triumph and blag a ride on the scrambler 1200, hilarious.
I’m hopeful that’s in the pipeline, Andrew - glad you enjoyed this episode 🙌🏼
Was off bikes for 33years. Got my R3GT in January, hell of a machine. Like you I took it easy for a while, like you, no rush to get anywhere either. But its great when you do want to get somewhere before you set off....
Oops, forgot to say, Scarborough N. Yorks, so if you are around the area....
Beautiful part of the world - will shout up as and when we get over there! And thanks for the reply :-)
The GTs are for homosexual couples.
Absolutely spectacular scenery. What a great place to ride. Will put this on my bucketlist for when I visit Blighty again. Thanks for showing us around and also thanks to Triumph and all your sponsors for making this possible. 💖
Currently I’m not riding due to an injury, but hoping to be sorted soon and start to get some miles in. What are your plans for the next bike Dave? Have you managed to persuade Triumph to loan you a 1200 scrambler yet? It would be good to catch you at either a race meeting or cafe. I’m guessing it’s BSB time, so you’ll be full on with the podcast now. Are you going to Navarro?
Finished mine just in time for a Sunday morning shakedown last weekend, paying particular attention to my new chain, which still measures perfectly after 2 runs (including 1 slightly spirited up and down the local bypass)
Been out and about plenty so far this year...which is a first for me...usually about now is the bikes first time venturing out. Been able to get to a few cool places already such as Super Sausage, Caffeine/Machine, Two Flags cafe to name a few cafes alongside Corsa Stradale, Moto Central, Sportsbikeshop shops for the obligatory 'browse'.... Managed a few big rides already and many more planned this year and definitely will be sorting meeting up your way sometime soon... What's the next bike coming to the stable..? Keep the riding and vlogs coming pal, loving to see you back on 2 wheels...
Nice ride! I have the r black..I've put heated grips on and a quick shifter. The grips are brilliant they get very hot on top setting. And the quick shifter tansforms the ride its so slick and smooth. Again nice vid!
Thanks for your kind words! It's a mega bike and you've definitely made the right additions to it :-)
This is an excellent review mate. Thanks for this! I’ve owned a Rocket III in the past but am going to get the new one soon in Australia.
Thanks, Matt - it's still quite new to me making these videos, sit me in front of any racer or guest from the racing world on our other show and I'm absolutely fine but this is a big learning curve so I really appreciate your feedback :-)
There's a few decent twisties in Lincolnshire as well, especially in the Wolds around Cadwell. But you're right; nothing quite like some of these almost forgotten B and Unclassified roads in Lancs. It's not all flat caps and satanic mills.
This new screen format for youtube is SHITE !
I had 7 years off once, after I didn't go out on a ride with some mates. They ended up having a serious crash with the 2 front runners ending up seriously injured.
The bravery alone deserves another 1000 subscribers 🎉
another nice little tour around the area mate. always take the long way home...lol
I rode tested the original one in 2010: the Rocket lll Roadster. 40 kg heavier than the modern R. I was visually intimidated at first, but I needn't have been. So easy to ride. The weight is carried so low. I ended the test ride badly wanting one. I never bought one. Now I want the new R. It could easily be my only bike [apart from my 155cc scooter]. Nick
Is it going to be one of those false , put on, over the top pretend laughing giggles all the time? let us see.... errr,,, well after watching for 15 minutes I can give it the thumbs up,. as no false over the top false laughs. Well done!
There wasn't exactly any need for false enthusiastic giggles and laughter as the Rocket ambled from town to town through 20 and 30 mph limits. I understand the initial trepidation but come on it's a Rocket and you only have to have riden one for a mile or two to realise it's a Pussy Cat. "That power delivery is oh so smooth"barely tickling the throttle in a thirty. I happen to own a 2021 Rocket GT Triple Black, if I planned to ride it so gingerly I'd have bought a scooter. As for false giggles/laughter, I hear the real deal all the time when my wife, daughter and son ride pillion. Whilst I'm not laughing myself I'm grinning from ear to ear.
Howdy from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada! ! Tuned in because of the Triumph Rocket GT. I appreciate your wanting to take it easy. I was off bikes for 20 years. Back on with a 2009 BMW 1300, which was a lot of bike. I would say that the instructional videos on You Tube and a 3 day advanced rider training ( slow speed maneuvers, cone courses, and emergency braking ) really make a difference - lots of current knowledge. Highly recommend all of this and practice, practice. You may know all of this but just sharing my learning curve on re-entry. Cheers.
The Rocket 3 is definitely on the bucket list of bikes I gotta own before I get kicked off this mortal coil… nice first impressions vid! Thanks, see you out there…
Love the Rocket 3; thanks for ride !!
Good to see you enjoying the mahoosive trumpet rocket… Tunnel blip…Gotta be done mate… Cool to see some sponsorship coming along and sure you’ll be bouncing around with Grilla 👊🏼 Did spot the deliberate Easter egg of doubling up on the comments related to the 2024 models and the timing of when you filmed the F&B videos for them 😬😬
A few events coming up Dave. Mallory for round one of EMRA on Sunday 7th and Oliver’s Mount on 13th and 14th. It would be good to see you.
10.43 video and nothing about the bike until 10 min? best re title the video
Some much better routes up to Settle Dave. Cow muck lane 😊
Sadly time was of the essence, Mick - I go the back way through Malham on the Rocket in a couple of episodes time 😁
Is it a GT900 pro by any chance? Are you getting paid per mention?
Sadly not paid at all, Mick… they just loan me the bike. Duly noted tho 😊

I’ll help you out a bit Dave, Dean Harrison won the lightweight tt in 2014, the supersport tt in 2018 & the senior tt in 2019. I think 🤣
Riding and thinking, still working on that - thank you :-D
