    Here is a thought on leadership, lead out of respect not fear. Once you have your workers respect they will bust their butts for you but out of fear they will work at their minimum and even leave if its real bad

    I have written, extensively, on this topic, presenting a number or fundamental questions, albethey, intrinsically rhetorical, form which are derived significantly inditing assertions that strikes at the efficacy of the very industry itself. My opus on this subject is both academic and derived from several decades of direct observations of the industry. Many sources that are referenced therein are readily accessible on this platform, as on all and from traditional sources. The bottom line is that the industry has, historically, as it continues so to do, causes nothing but ill. Iatrogenises, is, exclusively, its business model.

    The nurse residency jobs can be total shams. StaRN program i joined actually threw me on 3 patients in the ICU on my 2nd week on yhe floor. This is my license. I left

    No shortage whatsoever. Smart nurse not taking the abuse from management in hospitals. Again it is all about the CEO keeping their Bentley's baby!

    she must work in management or HR because she is clearly detached from the reality of bedside nursing. And it's not just new nurses who aren't being supported and who don't have the tools they need to be successful. Stop putting profit ahead of everything, do something about all the violence we face on a daily basis and pay us more money!!!

    I don’t agree with this. They are plenty of predatory nursing residencies which require new nurses to sign their lives away on a contract for 3 years to this hospital and risk paying a massive penalty for breaking the contract early. Nursing sucks because all the key stakeholders place profit above people. They’ve driven the industry into the ground!
