I bought an electric kit this year that just sits in my room. Any tips on where to start? Been playing guitar since I was 14 but I always thought drums suited me.
have you practiced? drums are a lot of fun to play, definitely take the time to play slow and learn coordination. thats what helped me at least i just played songs really slow and learned how they played and broke down the harder parts into sections until i could play fluently! \m/

always wanted to try my hand at drums but never really knew where to start. Any tips for someone not so musically inclined? 😅
Thomas ? It’s super fun once you get the hang of it. I’d say if you’re gonna get into drums start of with an electric kit or try finding a decent quality kit for a good price, nothing worse than sinking your pockets into something you might not enjoy. There’s plenty of online resources now that are great for new drummers that’ll help you get started with good tips and vids. Consider maybe getting a drum teacher for the face to face interaction if you can to boost your beginning but there’s plenty of resources that makes it easy to be self taught :) Hope I’ve helped you out but be sure to ask if I’ve missed anything
