For me, the vents were purely aesthetic, so wasn't too fussed about the vents being there to let the engine breath. In the summer, I take the guards out for shows. For the winter time, they do stop the rain from getting in. As for lasting, there are still as good as the day I made them.

Yes mate, just swapped the boxes over. It was a straight fit, just need to replace the gaskets.

The underneath is wrapped in black vinyl, so I could always change it if needed. The original idea was to used black reflective vinyl, but wasn't sure if it would look tacky.

I wasn't sure on how I was going to cover the hinge and still get the stealth look. The Mrs came up with the flap idea.

That would cool, brings a whole new meaning to mobile DJ.

As witj all the installs I've done over the years, you need to decide on what look you want to achieve. Once you've decided on the look, you can then start designing.

For me, the vents are purely aesthetic anyway. I was just sick of water getting in the engine, plus I didn't want to pay stupid money for rain guards.

He also stated they’re velcroed in. So these can be kept in the trunk just in case it randomly starts raining

There was no way I was fitting the 25mm 4 gauge power cable along the sill. That was my first try and couldn't get the sill to clamp back on. Plus, as I needed the power cable in the centre of the boot, running it up the centre of the car was the best option for me. Had an ek9 back in the day and the sills had more room in them.

@@lardy_fn2 yeah but from the sill you can go under the carpet, quite a lot of space there. i got the same car mate :)

@@fujiwaraj.8494 That was my first option, but as I wanted the live.to.end up in the middle of the boot, I opted for going down the centre of the car.

Got it fitted and am very impressed! It’s such a clean fit and then tail pipe is dead centre on the exhaust outlet, lines up perfect. I don’t think there is a video on here that really dose the sound justice.. it’s absolute perfect! Gives it just the perfect tone and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I think once you get over 6k rpm it’s harder to hear it over the engine and induction noise but It’s putting such a smile on my face just creeping around town shifting at like 4k and blipping the down shifts.. my fuel bill is going to be a lot higher this month that’s for sure

@@mrslimz4148 I was in the right place, at the right time and got a very good deal on mine. There are various sites that sell the M2 back box, a quick Google search will bring them up. But make sure you shop around and look for discount code and you should be able to knock about £50 off. 🤙

Hiya mate, no not at all. The good thing about this set up is that on normal driving & cruising speed, it's really nice on the ears, with only a little rasp. But as soon as you want a bit of fun and plant that foot, it's really growls at you. 🤙

Yes, that was my only gripe when they turned up and did a test fit. As you've mentioned, they are supposed to fit from the wheel are round, but it all depends on the measurements. That is obviously the case with universal fit stuff, you have to fit it the best way possible.

Hi, thank you for your comment. The drain holes are located on the inside of the vents where the inner channels are positioned. This allows for the water to be drained.

No spacers. They are 350z rays staggered wheels. Front 18x8j et30 Rears 18x8.5j et33
