"You're out there somewhere George Harrison's version of That Kind of Woman and I'll find you" *distantly* "No, you won't"

In case anyone remembers "The Monster Mash," there was an entire album of monster songs. One was "The Blood Bank Blues," sung like Dracula. He gets to the blood bank to make a "withdrawal," but it's already closed. He shouts "Let me in. Wee-oo. Wee-oo. I said wee-oo. Doesn't anybody know popular music?" That was hilarious.
A Friday Night Adventure 🚀
Great Song by the Quiet Beatle .....
Always wondered who played that really catchy rhythm guitar on this. Would assume it to be George since Eric is playing the lead guitar and singing lead vocals, but also, the rhythm guitar just sounds so Eric and not really like George, so I don't know. Hopefully we will get will get the official personnel released one day.

I didn't know Paul McCartney did another cartoon besides Rupert and the Frog Song. Anyone know if there are others?

Welcome to our island, Glad you came to call, Now you've made yourself at home, You're welcome to us all We are simple people, why are we this way, This is what we always say. It's the way that we bong on the bongo It's the way that we bang on the big base drum, It's the way that we sing in the song book, Plays the tropic island hum Hum, hum... Playin' in the sunshine, lots of sea and sand Its jolly nice in paradise Lordie ain't life grand Everyone was happy joining in the fun, Doing like we've always done It's the way that we shake on the shakers, It's the way that we bang on the big base drum, It's the way that we bake in the cake off, Plays the tropic island hum It's the way that we bong on the bongo It's the way that we bang on the big base drum, It's the way that we sing in the song book, Plays the tropic island hum Hum, hum... Good, good, good... Feeling good Tonights a special night... Feeling good, Alright, alright, alright, alright Anything can happen in the meantime Won't you come and help us celebrate our tropic island hum It's the way that we bong on the bongo It's the way that we bang on the big base drum, It's the way that we sing in the song book, Plays the tropic island hum Hum, hum... It's the way that we bong on the bongo It's the way that we bang on the big base drum, It's the way that we sing in the song book, Plays the tropic island hum Hum, hum...

Clever.
George Harrison Cover][Verse 1] I can see the turning of the key I’ve been deceived by the clown inside of me I thought that he was righteous but he’s vain Oh, something’s a-telling me I wear the ball and chain [Verse 2] My patron saint is a-fighting with a ghost He’s always off somewhere when I need him most The Spanish moon is rising on the hill But my heart is a-tellin’ me I love ya still [Verse 3] I come back to the town from the flaming moon I see you in the streets, I begin to swoon I love to see you dress before the mirror Won’t you let me in your room one time ’fore I finally disappear? [Verse 4] Everybody’s wearing a disguise To hide what they’ve got left behind their eyes But me, I can’t cover what I am Wherever the children go I’ll follow them [Verse 5] I march in the parade of liberty But as long as I love you I’m not free How long must I suffer such abuse Won’t you let me see you smile one time before I turn you loose? [Verse 6] I’ve given up the game, I’ve got to leave The pot of gold is only make-believe The treasure can’t be found by men who search Whose gods are dead and whose queens are in the church [Verse 7] We sat in an empty theater and we kissed I asked ya please to cross me off-a your list My head tells me it’s time to make a change But my heart is telling me I love ya but you’re strange [Verse 8] One more time at midnight, near the wall Take off your heavy makeup and your shawl Won’t you descend from the throne, from where you sit? Let me feel your love one more time before I abandon it
The jazz ensemble three and a half minutes in reminds me of Billy's old "Bonzo Dog Doo Da" band. It's amazing how this guy can play Paul McCartney and Vivian Stanshall and only one out of a million people are aware of it.
2 in a million 🫡
3 in a million.
Buckle up .... hundreds, millions and billions are about to become aware. Drip drip food. This is a small part of the great awakening - Cryptic clues are everywhere regarding everything happening in our word today and for decades - mark my words.
Why I never had seen this before??!! 😲😲😲
Is George playing guitars on this recording?
I always loved this song because of the funny lyrics and the great harmonies and key changes. Not so much the sax bridge - that could have been written much better. Still, it’s a great song!
When this came out everyone was dancing to it. We go to our favorite hang out. Go to the jukebox and punch it in. The days where we put in a quarter and get six plays. We could dance up a storm for a dollar. Buy a malt or burger.
One of the first songs in the movie "Secondhand Lion". Great fun movie!
@Nadienka Monroe
Radio KUDE in Oceanside, CA played this every night at 7:00. Don't recall whose show it started though.
Olivia Newton-John should have added this to her list of ATMP-era covers.
Hearing this version is sufficient. It sounds kind of like ON-J at least on the verses.
What a FUN tune from my past! I remember this tune very well!
Imagine if John Lennon made some thing like this
I can't. My problem.

Such a beautiful harrisong, and very George.
