    This snake is being molested by this man. It is in fear of its life. Coral snakes are calm and placid. The only reason you will ever see this movement is it is being touched or poked. This man has touched it to make it react and respond in this way

    Are they super loud/easy to hear? Or is the buzzing more subtle? I’ll be backpacking in an area in Michigan known to have them so just trying to educate myself

    I grew up in Brownstown township Michigan ( between Taylor and Flatrock) on an eight-acre farm , but only saw garters , eastern ribbons , and sizable blue racers (beautiful snakes). Once saw a water snake at Sterling state park outside of Monroe , Michigan.

    Saw one once on the side of a dirt road when I was walking home from school once as a kid back in the early 90s, it scared the shit out of me and I ran as fast as I could home. I tried telling people about it, and they gaslit me saying I was out of my mind and it didn't exist, this was before the internet, eventually I thought it was just a hallucination and maybe I didn't, but this proves me right all those years ago.

    I've lived in Michigan my whole life(27 years) and have never seen one. I used to catch a lot of snakes as a kid so it's crazy to watch you spot multiple like this. I am in West Michigan area. I have ran barefoot through many meadows like this as a kid haha.

    We have these snakes in northeast Ohio in the marsh lands. People still insist on killing them all the time even though they are a protected species in Ohio.

    I live in Michigan and as a kid I loved to explore and walk through meadows and woods. Seeing how many of these snakes they have found I am very thankful I never came upon one as a kid and got accidentally bit. I definitely remember hearing “rattling sounds” but I just chalked it up to buzzing bugs.

    My kitty cats just killed a baby blue racer that happen to come into my garage. The snake was a glowing blue/green absolutely beautiful. A shame that it came into kitty territory.

    You peoples from USA make me laugh. USA has no serpents to be feared. Why don’t y’all come to Brazil and see some really dangerous serpents. The Amazonian tours offer really affordable rates by 2 day trips or more, very affordable if you wish to see and hold dangerous serpents. We have many sorts of serpents that can end the life of a full grown horse or bull in less than an hour. Thrill seeking serpent hunters should contact Amazonian tours. The contact info can be googreld.

    If that’s where I think it is, we got an afternoon lyre snake on that wall. This, after telling my buddy on his first trip to AZ, that we probably won’t see them. We ended up with four that week. 😂

  • @RayPierreWhit607
    @RayPierreWhit607 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Most productive area I’ve seen for AZ blacks is some of the less trampled canyons and creeks around Sedona, especially alone the back route to Flagstaff (grad school alma mater). Best for me was the one massasauga we got in extreme S AZ right on NM border. We were in between sites and traveling fast. As soon as we saw it my buddy swerved and we both started yelling like John Goodman and William Forsyth when they thought they left the baby on top of the car in raising Arizona. EZ:! “did I hit it???” Me: “IDT think so!” “Is it what I think it is???!!!” “I DO think so!” We must have been doing 60+mph, and weren’t sure how far to backtrack. But then we saw swerving tire marks on the road. 😂 Took a bit to find it in the grass but wetubed it, and got some awesome pics with a BP agent who stopped to see what we were doings Sorry for long comment, but just discovered you guys and wanted to share. Spent 15 years in AZ and miss it much. So obsessed with the desert, I gave my daughter the middle name, Sonora! Thanks for the great content. Think I’ll go Herping here in AR tonight! Need a Pygmy rattler. Only one I saw I didn’t see soon enough and ran over ☹️. My undergrad advisor was behind me and really chewed my butt. He wrote the Amphibians and Reptiles of Arkansas. 😂

    Wow, amazing racers. We knew nothing of them as a kid, one struck out at my dad's head. Out of fear and no knowledge, we killed it. Now I see our mistake, totally harmeless. I have been coming across a variety of snakes around my property for a couple years now. Haven't harmed one yet. I shew them off, I hope all of them survive.

  • @chucknapier5108
    @chucknapier5108 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You guys do a very nice job, thank you. The same rattlesnake family was recorded in Ohio in this mornings news. Highly protected by the state. Said to be extremely rare in Ohio. One of my step daughters found a partial skin of what appears to be one of these just up the road from our house last year. Though it was partially flat, the roundness still was apparent. This belonged to a pretty fat snake that shed this skin off. We never contacted anyone, guess now I learned how rare these guys are, perhaps I should have. I think we lost the skin. But, it appears they are here, healthy and a good thought they are productive. I just hope my dogs don't come across one, that is scary. Once again, thank you for your efforts and dedication. Because of you, I know what to look and listen for. ❤
