what if it shows a ps5 controller and not a xbox controller on steam? how do i change it?
so my controller connected but it keeps opening my emote menu when i move the joystick, i tried using hidhide but it wont work when i use ds4 this way
Why did you select xbox controller? Ain't this for ps5 controller?
I think fivem only picks up xbox controllers. that's why you have to do this whole thing to emulate your ps5 controller as an xbox one.

What worked for me was going to the setting tab, clicking on device option and selecting the Dualsense controller support option

i can nolonger find source sdk base 2007 on steam
As said in the video, you must add FiveM to steam to have the steam overlay working.

When i goto steam it detect the ps5 controller still and Xbox at the same time it don’t just say Xbox like yours should i reinstall steam?

wont work, the steam settings are different for me, and there is no controller configuration in SDK 2007, only controller layout, which is different. The ps5 controller works on the screen just not in fivem

Doesn't work. When going to "Desktop configuration" it says u cant configure a ps5. Also the source 2007 doesn't let u configure either. Have downloaded and installed also. Basically means you can use the controller, however ONLY with the default settings... cannot change anything like in the video
Im getting the same thing, no controller config in SDK 2007 only controller layout which gives completely different options
Please follow the video exactly in order, it works fine if you setup DS4 correctly. Be sure to disable the Playstation controller support after so it does not detect playstation, but instead the emulated xbox controller setup and running
so what do i do if i have gta on the epic games launcher
Pretty sure you will need to add FiveM as a non-steam game, for me on the r* warehouse version it’s showing “source sdk base” on my steam game list

I haven't tried setting up custom keybinds but I know it could be done! Just need to configure it right on DS4 & in GTA settings.

As said in the video, you must add FiveM to your steam to enable the overlay. After you have the overlay working, the controller setup will show.

Make sure your controller works @ gamepad-tester.com/ this doesn't require any installing, if your controller doesn't show up it could be the port/cable your using.

You can add it on the bottom right where it says add game. Watch the video again n make sure your global steam settings are good, you should be fine then 🙂
