Which part of the auto tour is this? I was at the observation platform a couple evenings ago at sunset, but there were not nearly as many geese. :(

Mallard Ducks can take off vertically off either from land and water, but for Canada Geese and Swans does take time to gain altitude and they do take horizontally.

The sound of the geese is great, the filming is terrible! I couldn't take it anymore and had to turn it off, zoom in, zoom out, zoom in, blur, blur blur My eyes were hurting and had to say enough is enough. Please pan slow, only zoom a little bit and just watch with a steady hand. Terrible filming

Saw an article in Morgan Hill Times by Ron Erskine about the Sand Hill Crane migration that he went to see recently, so I Googled and found your video. This is pretty impressive. I loved the sound of all of them squaking as they came in for their landing. Thanks for posting this.
