Too bad they did not have these drones in the 1970s. This generation would barely recognize Burlington then.
Are you allowed or permitted to fly drones in the area?
Yes, you can fly a sub-250g drone in the area. One exception is that you cannot launch, operate, land or fly over the National Historic Sites such as The Citadelle of Québec. You also cannot launch from the city parks, but it's ok to fly over them if you launch from the sidewalk.

Amazing - how did you get permission to fly by the tower??!
No permission needed with a sub-250g drone. You do need to use caution and it requires lots of planning. Not recommended for new drone pilots.

Really cool shots! I'm fairly new to drones and I have to say I'm a bit nervous flying around populated areas. I'd like to try this area. Did you have any problems with people saying you can't fly around certain parts? Just subscribed too.
Thanks for subscribing! There are lots of factors that go into deciding where to fly. I've learned a lot from Don Joyce on TH-cam. If you have a drone under 250g then there are less rules to follow (as it's considered lower risk). Check out Don's video here: th-cam.com/video/dc0KZlRmMxo/w-d-xo.html Despite the fact you can fly in different areas, it's best to avoid people so you can focus on flying.
