Thanks for posting. Any updates??
You're welcome. Yes I have completed this box now, made some significant changes. I will have it installed soon and will make a follow up vid once I do. Thanks for watching
Thanks for this video. I’ve been to nurseries talking to professionals that couldn’t address this problem. Sprayed this oil on a few times and bingo problem solved plants looking so healthy!
@@mrhammerentertainmen You're welcome. Happy to hear it helped you 😊
I'm seriously looking at buying the 430W version.. but looking for some confirmation on the output of the panel. Did it provide the expected output (355W) under expected conditions?
@@PatStenteford Hi Unfortunately I didn't have the panel for long. I installed it on a caravan and sold the van not long after. If I was buying another flexible panel it would definitely be one of these. From limited testing I was very happy 👍🏼
What time did you spray??
I don't think it's too important which time. I would do it around middle of the day, just make sure no rain is forecast on that day 👍🏼
Awesome set up sir, im in the process of getting solar panel install. .. I'm just wondering which company did the installation for you?
@@jasonnguyen9927 Hi Thanks for the comment. Where are you located?
@@offgriddreaming5403 wetherill Park, Smithfield area.
@@jasonnguyen9927 I contacted my solar installer he said he doesn't service your area sorry
I’d love to know if there’s an internal fuse for the load output. Ive had only good luck with two epever controllers, but after the recent hurricane close call we had, in Florida, which knocked the roof top mooring light off the boat, i arrived to find the positive and negative load wires contacting each other, with a load warning signal. After correcting the wiring, my load still wont illuminate a small LED. The controllers are cheap enough to replace this malfunctioning unit, but with severe coastal damage it’s not likely Ill be able to visit our boat again soon, and will hate to leave a roof light permanently illuminated, I guess I’ve been spoiled by the lights functioning automatically for the past several years.
@@jakethetool698 Hi, Hope you're all going ok after the hurricane! I think fusing needs to be done externally for the load from output from memory.
Good setup . I would say perfect. We have same system but 6.6 kW.. Yours looks like it already needs a clean . Bloody birds .. For me at this stage battery is simply not worth the cost . As your never going to have it pay for itself within the warranty period.. So huge risk on investment.. My system has cut my power in 1/2 .. ANd that's all I was looking to achieve.. winter rainy days solar is almost useless.. So keep that in mind .. If you get 3 or 4 days of that in a row your battery will not get any charge. Depending on your usage of coarse .. The big advantage of battery is you still have power in blackouts for as long as your battery can last ..
@@samhaveaguess4284 Yes they had been hit hard by the birds that day! I'm happy with the system, we have a good roof for it and no shading. I hear you with the battery but I'd still love to get one. I'll get a tesla powerwall if I do. Haven't got the first power bill yet but hoping for a good reduction. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
I just added to my original 2kw system using used panels and inverters. I haven't paid for power in years and i am patiently off grid with a 12kw transformer inverter. Australia is a compliance and penalty nanny police state
That's great. My goal is to be completely off grid also.
The solar enthusiasts should begin call it "over-paneling" rather than "redundancy". Redundancy typically implies unused or backup equipment, which is not the case, here. Here, it truly is PV over-powering the charge controller input due to anticipated partial output of the regular-use PV panels' output power. Just today I hooked up another panel that leaves my system at 500% over-paneled that of my controller's nominal capacity. (I'll see next summer how that turns out. I have a fuse to limit my estimate.)
@@louf7178 Yes you could call it that
Thank you for posting this, can I ask what concentration of neem oil you used per litre? Thanks again.
You're welcome. 6ml per 1litre of water. It's in the video also. Let me know how it goes 👍🏼
Wow that is terrible. I checked the listing AliExpress and you are right, they list PCB, Bus bars and other things that appear to missing from your delivery. You shouldn't have to apologize, it is not a first world problem, it is false advertising problem :). I hope you get a fair resolution. I see a 90 day free return option, is that available to you?
May I know which Jinko Tiger Neo panels model you are using ? 60HL4-(V) 475-500W JKM475-500N-60HL4-(V)-F8C1-EN ?
@@minibus2005 Hi They are JKM440N panels
Do you know if the terminal blocks can be replaced on these? One of mine has fried due to a loose connection. And if so, how do you get them out? Thanks.
Hi, I had to watch my video back, that was a little while ago. I suspect that you could, I imagine you would have to remove the entire pcb from the case and have a look at the other side of the board. 'm not sure exactly sorry. Hopefully there's another video somewhere that can help you out 👍🏼
@offgriddreaming5403 thank you. If I figure it out, I'll let you know! Those screws are so poor, they sometimes don't tighten properly and lead to loose connections. Then they heat up and melt the casing!
12.5kw is to highest I can get on my 15kw system.
@@foreignerescapestothephi-lj3ls That sounds right. Nice size system. Do you have batteries connected?
@@offgriddreaming5403 soon! I’m building a 48v 280ah system now. With 16 3.2 volt 280ah Lithium Ion phosphate LifePo4 batteries! Total cost for the battery back up system $2000ish.
Is that $80-$100K lifted, 4wd truck worth it? It’s your money and your choice.
You must be getting close to seeing 10kW in the middle of the day with that setup. I'm in New Zealand and I'm now seeing 6kW peak on 8.5kW of panels split into 2 strings facing NE and NW.
@@Pete856 Hi, sounds like your system's doing alright 👍🏼 I had 9kw a couple of times today. I don't think it'll be long before it hits 10kw. Thanks for your comment
It depends where you live and which Distributor you have. I have 24KW on the roof and am only allowed to export 2.3KW!!! Despite having 40KWh batteries, the low level export can't even eliminate the quarterly connection fees. We live in a semi rural area in a larger properties Subdivision. So....we will disconnect permanently from the Grid by the end of August.
@@alf699 Hi, That's ridiculous to limit your export, surely it can be used somewhere. There is no limit where I am but you get nothing for it either. Well done being able to disconnect from the grid! That's my ultimate aim. 👍🏼
Are you in Florida, USA?
@@louf7178 No, Australia, New South Wales
@alf699 You should be able to cream it off grid with that setup, I have 10kWp of panels, and 35kWh of storage, been off grid for 6 years, never looked back, I also have an EV and even with my setup have no problems keeping everything charged even in the shorter solar months.
@@offgriddreaming5403 Where about are you located.. As I am also limited to 5kwh per day buy the supply company.. Most places in Australia there is a cap .. Designed to stop power surge on real good sunny days .. The grid can't handle so much imput.. So my max is 5kwh per day at .03c per kW..
We have the same panels and capacity system , though running 2 x 5kw Goodwe inverters due to 2 phase rural supply , this was installed last week and adds to our old existing 5kw Conergy system ( 12 years old and still purring along ) So 18 kw total , decided this upgrade as our premium feed in tariff finish’s in November for the original system , id be interested to see if the new system lasts as well ( china vs German made , ) , a battery or 2 would be good but we won’t be here long enough to make it worthwhile unfortunately
@@KenSiebring That's a good amount of solar! Yes, I'm hoping the sungrow will be good. I think the main Chinese brands have come a long way in recent years. I've heard positive feedback on goodwe also.
…well done!…we have a similar setup …13kw of jinko panels all facing north, with a non-hybrid Sungrow 10kw inverter …on a cracker of a winter day she pumps out 40kw for our FIT + covers our consumption…it’s facing a little to the west (at about 330 degrees) so I thought this might affect our morning output but with so many panels, it’s fine …looking forward to seeing what she can do in summer :))
only if of grid , if connected to grid , you just produce free clean power for the telcos

@@AveRage_Joe Thanks Buddy 🤜🏼🔥🤛🏼
Hey man, awesome setup you have. We have a tiny townhouse with a stupid roof so not much room unfortunately. I would love to have gone big like that but only have 3.7kw of panels. Anyway, that sungrow has 2 MPPT inputs right? Do you have your East and West strings connected in Parallel into one of those strings and the North on it's own string? Also, are you on pvoutput? Cheers for the video!
@@andrewford80 Hi mate It's a bit hard without the roof space. Anything is definitely better than nothing though I reckon. Mine is a 3 string inverter. I've never heard of pvoutput, I'll check it out. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
@@offgriddreaming5403 Yeah I agree, anything is better than nothing! Thanks for the info about your tripple MPPT, that is cool. I think it makes sense for inverters to include more than 2 trackers but it historically hasn't been as common.
@@andrewford80 You're welcome. Yes I agree, especially for a larger array with more than two strings 👍🏼
There are usually options, with or without these pcbs and bus bars, looks like you did not pick the right option…
@@Olivierus Yes, there are often options before checkout, but unfortunately there are no options with this box. The packing list says the box comes with pcbs etc. It wasn't until after the box arrived i found out they don't make pcb boards for the 105ah box.
You said it isnt what was advertised ? Are you stupid or something ? Get your money back and name the seller. Sellers like this shouldn't be online. You are way too soft man. Don't make a video about it. Go after the seller, he lied to you.
Thanks for sharing, but could you tell me, did you cut it back at all. My leaves have all gone!
Sorry for late reply. No I didn't cut them initially I figured the plants were stressed enough already 😅

Hi, what’s the other knife you’re using?
Hi It's a brother f005 from aliexpress. Not bad knife for the price
Calypso beetle and it’s larvae. They are just like a ladybird but bright green in colour.
I’m building one of these, do you have any advice
Thanks, much appreciated info. I will get some neem spray today.
You're very welcome
Do you remember if you had leaves turning brown and branches dying as well?
Hi mate I don't think I did but I'd say if the problem was left for a longer period of time that could definitely be the result. I hope that helps ✌🏼
Hey mate - I know you sold the van, but interested in how you mounted to the roof. Did you adhere it direct, or space it off the roof at all?
Hi mate, not sure where you're located but there is a place in rowville Victoria that will hook you up with the special double sided tape and other info to correctly install these with an air gap underneath. I think they are called solar 4 rvs or similar. ✌🏼
I BUY THIS PLANT ESPECIALLY FOR MY AUSTRALIAN LEAF INSECTS I HAVE , THEY DONT /ARNT BEETLES OR GRUBS THESE JUST LOOK LIKE A GREEN LEAF AND BLEND IN PERFECTLY, THEY CANT FLY EITHER, BUT THEY DO LOVE THIS PLANT A LOT
Have these (2x 310w) for 2 years now on my boat and they are worth every cent because they aren't cheap to buy. Very tough panels but the junction boxes on mine have sun damage and are a concern, I would recommend the bottom mounted junction boxes. They harvest sunlight like no panel I've had before with a record 4kws produced in a single day compared to the 2.3kws from traditional glass panels which needed frame work to support the weight, These I lay on netting to keep cool on the boats roof having a 5cm air gap for Qld summers. Am atm saving for 2 x 430w panels to run the air-con off a seperate battery bank. Overall I love the low weight, Low profile and high output.
Hi dear i have a same model but bot working can you repair it for me

I just donated mine a few week ago. Those things are a lot of fun if you can still find one. Walmart sold them for a few years , But I don't think they sold that well. I was an Assembly Contractor with Walmart and was able to get it with a great discount as a "Backlot Bargain" for $50.00
Thanks for the video. Worked a treat! Cheers.
You're welcome ✌🏼
did the beetle problem come back? i did some research and some say the larvae breed in the soil and spraying the leaves is not effective as they will return? just want to hear from your experience, my lilly pilly are attached by this too. Thanks.
Hi I think I mention the life cycle in the video. You may need to continue the treatment periodically. I have since moved, so not sure how they are now
Anyone know whether I can replace worn out 18650's in my old M18 9.0ah with new 21700 cells?
Mine stopp3d working. Where can I get the cells to rebuild my self? It's the 12 HD like that one on video
It would be very difficult to rebuild a milwaukee battery as the pcb kinda shuts itself down when there is a fault. Have you tested the voltage with a multimeter? Maybe it's just low voltage in which case you may be able to jump strat it. Good luck 👍🏻
Thank you very much, it has worked for me
So glad to hear that!
