What The Bible Reveals About The Rapture and Second Coming The Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ are often confused, and sometimes it is difficult to determine whether a scripture verse is referring to the Rapture or the Second Coming. As we study Bible prophecy, it is very important to differentiate between these two important events. The Rapture is when Jesus Christ returns to remove the church (all believers in Christ) from the earth… The Rapture is most thoroughly described by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with the believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air. According to the Bible, this will all occur in a moment, in a “twinkling of an eye” (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The Second Coming is when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist, destroy evil, and establish His Millennial Kingdom… The Second Coming is revealed in prophecy in Revelation 19:11-16. The Important Contrasts Between The Rapture and Second Coming: At the Rapture, believers meet the Lord in the air… 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. He comes for His own to bring them home… John 14:2-3 I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. At the Second Coming, believers return with the Lord… Revelation 19:14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. (cf. Rev. 17:14) The Rapture occurs before the Great Tribulation… Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. The Second Coming occurs after the wrath of divine judgements of the Great Tribulation… See Revelation chapters 6-19 The Rapture is the removal of believers from the earth as an act of deliverance… 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The Second Coming involves the removal of unbelievers from the earth in judgment… Matthew 25:31-32 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. The Rapture will be secret and instant… 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 Behold, I tell you a mystery (gr. mystērion; that which previous hidden/secret, but now revealed): We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. The Second Coming will be visible to all… Matthew 24:29-30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The Rapture is imminent; it could take place at any moment… (Titus 2:13; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:50-54) The Second Coming will not occur until after a multitude of end-times events take place… (2 Thess. 2:4; Matthew 24:15-30; Luke 21:7-36; Revelation chapters 6-18) The purpose of the Tribulation is all about fulfilling the Lord’s promises to Israel… According to Daniel’s 70th Week Prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27) the Tribulation focus is Israel. The Tribulation is specifically called the “time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). In context, Matthew 24 addresses the Tribulation, with Israel being the primary subject that Jesus was speaking about, not the church (see pertinent references in Matthew 24:15-16; 20). The Matthew 24 text does not address the Rapture, but does relate directly to the events regarding Second Coming (see Matthew 24:32-51). Some Additional Considerations Regarding The Truth of the Pre-Tribulational Rapture The primary evangelistic mission during the Tribulation will be carried out by the Jews (not the Church)… 1. The 144,000 Jewish men (Revelation 7:3-8; 14:1-5) 2. The “two witnesses” (Revelation 11:1-14) 3. The angel who proclaims “the everlasting gospel throughout the earth” (Revelation 14:6-7). There is no mention of the church here on the earth during the Great Tribulation! The church is referenced 20 times in Revelation chapters 2 and 3, and is missing as the events of the Tribulation are described in various details (Revelation 6-19). During this same time period the saints of the church age are clearly seen in heaven. Many of those who come to faith after the Rapture will be martyred during the Tribulation. and they are seen coming into heaven, joining those Raptured previously (Revelation 7:9-10, 14-15). If the Rapture and the Second Coming are conjoined together the logical question of who repopulates the earth for the Millennial Kingdom is irreconcilable… According to the Bible, all believers receive their Resurrection bodies at the Rapture (1 Cor. 15:51-53). At the end of the Tribulation, all unbelievers will go into judgement and not enter the Millennial Kingdom where Christ reigns as King (see Matthew 25:31-46, the Sheep-Goat Judgment). Therefore, if believers no longer reproduce children (in their resurrected bodies), and all unbelievers are cast away from earth in judgement, there would be no one to repopulate planet earth throughout the Millennium Kingdom of Christ (if the Rapture is the same event as the Second Coming). If the Rapture and Second Coming are Post-Tribulation events… When do we, the church-age believers, appear before the Judgement Seat of Christ and celebrate the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? The Pre-Tribulation Rapture proposes that these events occur in heaven during the time of the Tribulation here on the earth since both of these events involve church age believers only. The Post-Tribulation view does not allow time for these very significant events if the Rapture would happen at the end of the Tribulation. Summary: The Rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth before the time of God’s wrath. The Second Coming is the return of Christ to the earth to bring the Tribulation to an end, defeating the Antichrist and his evil world empire. The Rapture and Second Coming are similar but separate events. Both involve Jesus returning. Both are end-times events. However, it is crucially important to recognize the many Biblical differences. A word for the church today to be wise for such a time as this! Daniel 12:4, 8-10 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?” And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. I am so happy that this video helped you. My door still works like new! I took apart the passenger side door last month and cleaned it before it starts having issues. Just an update that I thought you'd find valuable.

You can look at the fuse and the glass should look clear. The filament inside the fuse should not be broken. If the glass is discolored with a dark spot, then it is probably a blown fuse. If the inside of the fuse looks damaged, it is probably a blown fuse. The fuse size is on the fuse. If you replace it, get the exact same one.
