Strickland Helix Single Bevel Broadhead Review!
มุมมอง 3.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
If you're a bow hunter, then no doubt you've heard of the Strickland Helix broadhead. A very old school looking head with a single bevel edge designed to help give the best flight, penetration, and durability possible. I test out all three in this video!

The Montana Bow Sling is perfect for being able to use your binoculars, camera, have a drink or snack, or anything hands free without having to put your bow on the ground.

Bee Stinger Microhex Counter Slide Review. EASY way to balance compound bow.

Bee Stinger Microhex Counter Slide Review. EASY way to balance compound bow.
Does that Bee Stinger come with weights ??? THANKS
I’ve been thinking about getting one of these. Cause I’ve my pin float but everyone keeps telling me it’s a waste of money cause I generally shoot with my quiver off. I just feel like a pendulum when I’m shooting 30-40 yards.
I think the blazers are loud
I'm pretty sure you got the 1 1/4 inch cut version in this video not the 1 3/4 inch version still great heads and good video.
The best review for the beartooth 80, for me, i decide to buy it...thx👍
I have this bag and I carry around about 150 pounds with no issues.
Without question that seems like it's the easiest and quickest meat shelf transition on any pack I've researched.
Thank you.
Absolutely love them shot first buck with one and got a good double lung shot he only got 25 yards and dropped
Make sure to go off the width measurement if you have porro-prism binoculars. I use Steiner Predator AF 10x42 binos. I got the XL harness and still have to put them in sideways. It still works great to protect my bino but they won't sit in there upright. And if you're going to put your license in the zipper pocket, put it in a sleeve that you can attach a string to or something because as far as I can tell it never loosens up.
does this use magnets? i have a pacemaker and i am having trouble finding a fully enclosed without magnets.
Have a look at the badlands ez bud
The closure on this one is with an elastic cord running through the edge of the lid. No magnets as far as I can tell. I just got mine out and ran a refrigerator magnet all over it to make sure (because there is a stiff piece of something in the lid) and it didn't stick to anything.
Can you use mechanical brodheads with the bohning vane?
Definitely. But if your shooting mechanical heads you can go with a lower profile.
Yea, that front pocket is basically useless. I cant even get my fingers in there. About the only thing I can think that would fit in there is hunting license/tag but it is so tight you might not get it out when you need to. I just basically pretend it isn't even there because I find it useless.
Interesting
Hey I recognize this guy!
I got tired of rolling up the straps when extended so I just tuck them into some crevice on the pack's exterior and reel them back in when I return the back back to normal sizing.
Love the vane and wrap color choice. My next set of arrows I will be copying you. 😂 really nice tight grouping. Keep sending em down range 💪🏻
Can you take the weights off of one end and screw it directly into the stabilizer hole, or does it have to use the counter slide part?
agreed, I just got mines, this thing is awesome!
These Helix are awesome for almost anything you intend to hunt, like he said just match the bevel to the fletching. My Carbon Air shoots em exactly with my field tips , but i do bare shaft tune then its same point of impact to 80 yards and beyond.
I like the 50 yard shots. The backyard 20 yard test just isn’t significant in the modern age.
Yup got to get one
great review man it's answered all my questions really. i think i've looked at pretty much all the options incl. fhf but i think i'll order this one... i particularly like the full cover bungee closing system and the low profile straps. also, light-ish material and not this overkill 1000d cordura. very cool. having said that, don't dig the velcro and i wish it was just a bit smaller and slimmer (using 8x40s). some more attachment options for accessories would be cool too. something to think about KUIU.
I have this in the Large with their range finder and bottom zip up pouch. Using Leupold 10x42mm and a Vortex Razor HD4000 and couldn’t be happier 🤘
Chase, rmfantasysx comment here, but hoping this will get to you direct.... You guys GOTTA find a way to incorporate the 250's into the weekly points somehow. Maybe like pick one position per race or something. Just to give a little incentive to include the 250's as part of it. Make that main a little more interesting to watch too. Kinda like a 2nd wild card.
Thanks for the great review! Looking for a multiday pack that I can comfortably haul a packraft, paddle and pfd on in addition to all my gear, this looks perfect!
Shop around, I got mine for $429.99
Well done. I was thinking, “this guy is really good a reviewing this, someone should hire him to do professional reviews”. And then I realized who you are. This was exactly the review I was looking for about this bingo harness. Thanks!
I haven't got in e yet but when I saw the video from dudley I knew I had to have it. Now that I've seen it mounted on a bow I'm sold.
This is an incredible video! I'm going back and forth between the Metcalf and the Beartooth 80, and I think I'm set on the Beartooth after watching this video. Awesome job!
how adjustable is the ride hight? I need to hang my pistol under the bino harness, I have that figured out but would like the bino harness to ride slightly higher on my chest than my badlands will do. Thanks
Great review!.... exactly what I needed to know to help me decide between the Beartooth and Metcalf.....thank you!
I have the v3x with a bridge lock sight set up can you show how the quiver would mount to the bow without having standard sight mount?
How heavy with equipment is it compared to 5 arrow tight spot quiver?
Louder than your lisp
Can you test out the Blazers versus the hybrid HP?
What fixed broadhead are you thinking about?
I don’t need a 200 dollar quiver.
No one NEEDS a 200$ quiver but you might want one!
These stabilizers are almost perfect. I wish they would make one with a 20” bar. That would be perfect. Off topic but what grip is on your Halon?
That is not low pro... I have the mathews low pro 1pc 5 arrow quiver and that is 260 dollars. The mathews is a low pro quiver.
Nothing low profile about it , that bar is almost as wide as the riser .....lmao
I like it!
Toooo expensive.
Too expensive. Try spending 260 for the new mathews low pro 1pc quiver.
Lose the music.
That Max Hunter/ wrap combo really looks sharp! Shot Max Hunter’s for a lotta years and they never disappoint.
You shoot a bow pretty good for a motorcyclist. 😂 But the Blazer vanes seem to be quieter to my ear. Following...
Not too bad huh? haha. Thanks for watching!
What grip you got on your halon 32?
That was the Jesse Broadwater Ultraview grip. Made that bow so much better!
My son and I shoot both vanes and have sound tested them side by side. The max hunter is louder, however, they are both good looking vanes.
Max hunter are louder and slightly heavier so I lost some speed as well
Dang, maybe my ears deceived me! Other people have said they thought the Max hunters were louder too.
I've been staying with the blazers because you can glue them to the shaft without a wrap.
Honestly, I've had zero issues using the AAE Max Bond Pen and their glue. Little more work but it's no big deal.
You can glue all fletchings without a wrap.
My experience with max hunters were they were definitely noticably louder in flight per my ear
Yeah, them and the blazers definitely aren't the quietest. Trying to judge just listening is pretty tough. Would be cool to get a decibel reader and get an accurate measurement.
Put a fixed blade broadhead on and the noise of the broadhead will overshadow the vanes every time
Just sold me on this 15" ordered one ,thanks for the video.
Glad it was helpful. I've loved mine.
