This is very informative... Great content 💯💯
Thanks for watching 😊
How much did it cost for your drip lines. And how many lines can cover an acre.
Hello hope you're well? For the estimate depends if you buy the items yourself or contract someone to do everything. For an acre you can estimate 2,500 dollars if you contract someone
hello I wanted to contact you, where can I contact you? email or via whatsapp
I love your lessons, which variety are you planted.
Hello friend I'm doing Neptune F1
Very inspiring and insightful.
Nice
How much do you as a farmer sell the onions for
@@YatzarEL-17 hey depends on your country. My country if you sell at farm gate it's 35 ksh per kg. Bug if you delivery to customer it's 50 ksh per kg
lovely...what source of water are you using?
@@dagestaniwarriors9293 I'm lucky to have a borehole so water is always available
Hey, what do you use for weed management in the main field?
@@Caleb-ww hey 👋 for me I do manual weeding continuously. Plus during top dressing I mix up the soil which also help in weeding
👍👍👍
How many bags did you harvest in half an acre and whats the weight per bag
I harvest just above 4 tonnes. I used 3 drip lines per bed. I came to learn that I should have used 4 lines per bed for even more harvest
A good one....I love this😊
How I store my onions for good drying and better shelf life😊
This is Ruby and Rafiki❤❤
Im from india 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Oh my god this is my dream of producing this type of onions
Nice to hear....just don't give up....you might fail 1st or even second time but with experience and following the feed and spray program you should be on the right path
Great job man. I have a seedling of Russet F1 for 8 Acres. Under good agricultural practice and furrow irrigation system, how much yield should I expect. could you give me an approximate guess from your experience.
Thanks.. from my experience I use drip irrigation. But most people claim to harvest 15 to 20 tonnes an acre. But one should not that things like drip lines used on a bed matters. For my case I used only 3 lines per bed while other people used up to 5 lines. I learnt this when I had already set up my drip system. But I intend to add more drip lines in the new area I'm going to do. On furrow I have never used so I'll be lying 🤥🤥
A good well followed feed and spray program...
🎉🎉🎉
Hello guys ask anything I'll be happy to help. Take care ❤
Dear sir, it's really inspiring, I have aquired 300 hectares of farm land in Ethiopia, It's located on the omo Valley regione i am planning to try bulb onion and maize , the weather is warm mostly over 30°c it has an altitude over 930mts and sandy soil please 1.do you think it gives a good result? 2. What seed variety are you using and what yield does it give in a hectare please? Thank you so much sir, I am a beginner in farming and if you could give me any advice you think is important. Thank you!
@biniyamtibebu4004 hello friend. 300 hectares is good. But my advise since I have never worked with soil from your region. It's best you look for an agronomist or a local agricultural expert to advise on the crop to do. Also do a soil test it always gives you a guide. Finally, bulb onions normally work well in hot areas. So chances are they will work well. Maize as well will work as it works in most places. All the best in your venture. Remember farming you need patience and understanding of what your doing for best results
@kizurifarm thank you so much sir, I will follow your advice and thank you again for your kindness!, if you happen to visit Ethiopia I will happily assist. Have a great success
A preview of what's next on kizuri farm
Your channel is growing day after day Jusk keep it up.
I would also add calcium born foliar fertilizer at this stage. Its so important. it gives shelf life for onions
Yes that's also true....the nitrobro and Yara winner helps that also. Also ensure you have a good storage area to ensure proper drying and storage
Hi I keep flowing all your videos. Am really in joining watching them Have you add a manure into your soil after you setup your dripp irrigation.. Keep it up. You doing a great job
@@الجبرتي-ز5ن hey thanks for watching and enjoying. Yes I add well decomposed cow and goat manure once a year. I'll be adding more soon I'll show in a video.
It's been a bit slow in the farm after final topdressing but work always 'crops up' 😅
Which fungicide do u Boss that is curative and preventive
@@BillCcyhey hope your having a good day?....I used absolute fungicide from green life. I normally use trinity gold but they are out of stock currently. But absolute works well also. My fungal infection was cured.
Hi Po watching from glecious tv your new friend
🤗 welcome.....and thanks for watching 😊
Trust the process .....ups and down are part of it but at the end you will succeed 😜
KEEP IT UP
Thanks boss 😃
Good job 👏👏
Thank you! 😃
It's been a busy week away from the farm but I still managed to give you guys an update of the topdressing episode. More updates soon ❤🧑🌾💪
Working on the full video to give you interested farmers an update on our onion farming journey.
How is your experience in black cotton soil ? We really wanted to know what crops that yield better in your farm.
Hello sorry for the very late reply.... Black cotton soil has good qualities and bad. In term of fertility it's very good for green leafy vegetables like spinach. Other crops that do well are citrus fruits and onion crop family. The only challenge is that it doesn't do well with a lot of water as it gets very sticky and hard to work with especially during the rainy season. But it's best you always do a soil test as sometimes it can be a bit acid and also lack some nutrients
Sorry for the poor lighting...the message being sent is important and helpful though 😊
The Spray Program is very important to prevent diseases that may affect onions and other crops in the farm. Prevention is better than cure 😊
Enjoy and ask questions regarding onion farming if any ......i'll help where I can 😊❤
Can't wait to see the results 😊
Me too!! 🤣
Good spacing is very important. The drip hole spacing is just right 👍.....
Kazi nzuri. What's your onion spacing? What's your emmiter spacing? Do you place the transplant at the emmiter?
@Caleb-ww hello hope your doing well? My spacing follows that of the drip pipes holes. Which are 5cm apart for the emitters. That's the spacing I use.
Thanks for the likes n views people 🎉😊❤
Results of proper nursery management ..........#happyfarmer 🧑🌾🌱💪
Needs weeding though 😊
I have seen the shade net you are talking about. great job you are doing.
@@bensterfarm thanks just make sure you get the correct shade net. They vary in % of light the allow through. For hot areas use 75% shade net. That's what I use. For cooler areas use maybe 50% but confirm with your place of purchase. Thanks for the watching the video. 👍🧑🌾💪
Thanks for sharing!! Keep it up!
