Hi Tom, sure does I'm in Australia so we are using the IEC symbols but the software does come (pre-installed) with full ANSI/North American schematic symbols. if you need more info i can put you onto the Zuken US team.

HI if im understanding correctly, you can assign model to components with pins, therefore when you have an assembly of components you will inherit the component pin assignment. you can however make the pins renamable so if you have different pin assingments for an assembly you can rename as rename(from the component default) as required.

Hi, If you had 2019 or newer e3.series the default database has a few samples(all harting) located in the han-modular, connector folder of the database. this should server as a good base to make any other connector with insert

@@nandhaselvakumar if you dont have the E3.formboard shortcut in your start menu, you can right click properties and under your target you should have something like this. That is assuming your have Formboard license line. "C:\Program Files\Zuken\E3.series_2019\E3.series.exe" /formboard

Hi Veronika, sorry its taken so long for a response, the system requirements are pretty basic, a windows 10PC with mild to moderate CPU capabilities will suffice. the only recommendation i have is to make sure you have a good resolution capability to maximize screen working space and visibility. Officially zuken quote: 2 GHz CPU or higher at least 4 GB RAM or more 19" monitor with 1280*1024 with True Color or Wide Screen monitor; alternatively DualScreen solution. 3-button "wheel-mouse" l at least 10 GB free disk space on the hard disk (for the normal installation) l there's no special demand for the video card. hope this helps :)

HI, Depends on your installation and autocad file size etc. I recommend trimming the drawing in autocad first to only what you need then importing it into Zuken, this way it should minimize PC run requirements. see if that helps. otherwise if you let me know where you are located i can get the details of your local Zuken support person who can help you.

Hi Samim, thanks for the feedback and question. If your using Formboard the tables are located in the misc section of the database under the misc_table_symbols the default being FTab2. there is an option to auto place the tables in the settings under formboard. Just note when editing there are elements(text/graphic) that belong to header, row or footer, make sure in text/graphic properties they are selected as necessary. Thanks

Hi, a block represents a generic "Component" with an internal circuit, which you normally don't care about. What you actually care about are the interfaces ( connectors ) to your cicuit. It's a good way to represent a microcontroller on a shield for example. If you need the inner logic also, you are able to make blocks hierarchical and build the logic on the "block"sheet. On newer E3 versions you are also able to place connectors and connections within normal blocks.

Hi thanks for your question can you confirm in your setting files that you are using the correct template(project) file. in settings the first screen will show a template and an attached file name. can you confirm that you have project_IEC.e3t selected. If you installed in US english it would have by default selected Project_ANSI. you may need to restart your session once you have done this. let me know if this solves your problems. Thanks Pedro

Hi No problem, This is an easy and common mistake, the connectors are placed in folders as per their class and sub class. if you select connector as its class it will appear in the class folder. you can do so by device/symbol properties. Let me know if this makes sense.

Hi thanks for your reply. I have selected "Connector" as its class in symbol/component property. But by default it is creating new "<No entry>" folder in database after clicking 'save To database'.
