My guess is that Willow is stalling, in regards to telling Buffy about Tara, because she feels that Buffy would be offended by the thought of maybe not being Willow's best friend anymore.

It's a good thing that you watched these reactions together. I personally feel that's the best way to watch them, as it's basically one continuous story.

Writers could have put any lines they wanted in the script, but writers phrased things the way they did 'for the greater good' of the show.😁

Two kids were killed in S3, Gingerbread. So this poor kid wasn't the first.

Walsh was killed by Adam (not related to the guy ftom the earlier season) using the arm from a Polgara demon. That demon was named after a good friend who used the name Polgara on the Buffy Posting Board. Kids have died. The Annoying One from S1&2 was a kid who was killed.

Remember Spike in his first episode killed the kid, the Anointed One.

Goodbye Iowa a very average episode, but sets up the later half of S4 now we have established that Walsh was planning something very sinister with her creation Adam, and not only experimenting on the HSTs, but also the Commandos of The Initiative, as Riley is having symptoms of poisoning. Some great little comedy moments with Xander again, and of course to homage to the original Frankenstein when Adam meets the child.

The I In Team shows us Prof Walsh's real intent revealed. We also see Willow suspecting that not all is well with The Initiative. Spike of course is gradually beginning to rely on The Scoobies, and they can use him as an ally too, but at this point do we trust him. At the end Adam of course stabs Walsh clean through with his arm spear and says 'mummy', we are not too upset by this after she set up Buffy to die, and spied on Buffy and Riley having sex. Obviously Adam is a homage to the Frankenstein type monster the secret of 314. We see the Willow/Tara relationship start to build, and also the Anya/Xander one too which is comedy gold, revealing all their intimate secrets.

maggie's death was unexpected because she was originally intended to be the season's big bad. the actress had to drop suddenly due to scheduling conflicts. I happen to like Adam as the big bad, though, but I think I'm in the minority.

4x13 and 4x14 aren't really a two-parter, Vic, but you and your editor must know better than the rest of us. I trust you both.

A reaction viewer who puts the two-parters together. That doesn't happen quite as often as people would think (sometimes, but not as often as you'd think) so this startled me a bit. My favorite part of both episodes is Walsh's realization of Buffy still being alive and how badass it makes Buffy look while outing Walsh as the villain.

You are going to be really happy with the next episode, you are slowly getting to the best part of season 2. There are a couple of 8's maybe, but from episode 15 all the way to the end of the season every episode is pretty much a 9 or a 10.

This Fringe episode was inspired by the original Twilight Zone episode (and 1983 Twilight Zone movie) called It's a Good Life. The movie version is especially frightening (Joe Dante of Gremlins and Texas Chainsaw Massacre directed).

Angel was spot on about Charles Baudelaire. A brilliant French poet, but a notorious drunkard and dope fiend.

A Phillie is a female horse, it's slang for a women.

She was a disturbing episode in which both Jheira and Angel even though they want to help the helpless, are more concerned with their own species (Angel of course a Vampire, but was human). Jheira cares little for humans, and Angel does not like this. The spinal lobotomy very hard to watch, adding to the brutality of the episode. We can see there is no love lost with Angel and Jheira at the end but a mutual grudging respect. To be honest I thought this is one of the weaker episodes of S1, and is definitely not a fan favourite episode. Angel and Wesley 'dad' dancing does provide us with some much needed hilarious comic relief.

As said above the episode was supposed to be a commentary on FGM but could have been executed better. Angel after credits scenes are rare but always worth it.

the ep is a commentary on female genital mutilation, which I honestly did not know about back when the ep aired and this was my first exposure to the barbaric practice.

I quite like this episode, probably because of how Broyles anchors it. It's also probably the episode which feels most thematically like an X-Files episode.

Yeah. Sometimes you have good days, sometimes it's bad. Sometimes you wake up gasping out of rolling water. Sometimes you're holding a weapon before you're actually aware of where you are. And you can't really talk about it. Because you can't expect anyone to understand.
