    Collar on the burndy cable should be at the turntable end and when adjusting the counter weight the felt mat should be removed, that makes a considerable difference.

    Habe einen DENON AVR-S760H AV Receiver und eine Canton Surround - Anlange im Wohnzimmer, überlege mir den Technics SL 1210 GR zu holen mit direkt der 2m Black als Nadel? Oder ist meine Anlage nicht teuer genug, dass es den Sound rüberbringt? (Es gibt ja auch Standboxen für 2.000€ aufwärts, meine haben "nur" um die 250€ pro Stück gekostet. Einen Vorverstärker brauche ich nicht oder? der AVR hat ja einen Phono-Eingang.

      Hi, ich würde da eher in die Lautsprecher investieren: Sie machen sehr viel in Kombination mit der Raumakustik. Allerdings ist die Quelle und da auch der Plattenspieler wichtig: Viel Mechanik, der Tonabnehmer... Schwierige Entscheidung, ich hab würde eher auf Lautsprecher gehen.

      @@Audionoerd Moin, ich hab' jetzt schon den Technics gekauft und eine Ortofon Bronze Nadel. Das Ding ist, ich habe jetzt bereits mein Wohnzimmer voll mit den Denon Boxen und müsste die quasi alle wieder verkaufen, dabei hab' ich sie erst seit vllt. 3 Monaten. Ich wusste vorher nicht, dass es überhaupt so teure Boxen gibt für z. B. 4.000€ oder so. Was du sagst ist also denke ich alles richtig, nur ist es für die Boxen nun schon zu spät und jetzt hab' ich eben einen sehr guten Plattenspieler geholt (hoffe ich zumindest, kenne mich ja da auch nicht wirklich aus). Oh my... SO nice ! I've always wondered if there is really that big a difference in SOUND between the different 1200 offerings available today... like your 1210GR vs 1210G vs 1210GAE vs even the 1500C if same cartridge, same phono-preamp etc.. Prices are all over the map and I don't know enough to understand if there is a significant sound improvement between models ! I do understand the higher end models are better made, heavier, easier to adjust VTA etc but do they really improve the sound enough to justify the price difference? I would definitely appreciate your thoughts on this. THANKS !

    • @musicman8270
      @musicman8270 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cartridge makes a big difference. The motor on the Technics tables is what makes them stand out. The motor on my Rega is a 75 dollar part. Runs one and a half ram fast.

    to make the sub platter settle down , fit the main platter before the belt , let it all settle , remove the main platter , then fit the belt , that was standard practise with a linn LP12 ...

    • @jensbondarenko9195
      @jensbondarenko9195 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shouldn't work here since this is a magnetic bearing with a lot of up force. With a correct set up LP12 this also doesn't work since the outer platter adds mass to the springs, but the belt can be installed without outer platter because the belt nearly fits without outer platter.

    • @patthewoodboy

      @@Audionoerd Hi Harold. The turntable and arm are superb. I changed phono stage to Superline powered by a Supercap which was a huge upgrade. I feel that freeing up the Solstice P/S to just power the turntable motor and not that and the Solstice P/S was significant. I’ve also changed the Equinox cartridge to DVXV1T which was almost as big an upgrade as the P/S. The deck in the spec that I have now is outstanding and more than a match for a Linn Klimax. A friend brought his LP12 over and the dem confirmed that so no conjecture in my judgement. Cheers. Rob

      @@robburgess1985 Hi Rob, the Dynavector are excellent, I like them through and through and occasionally a 10X5 plays here. The standard pickup is also excellent, but you can easily change it.
