Vertical BBQ Smoker Build
Here is the build for my competition upright cabinet smoker. 1-1/2 inch tubing and fully insulated. The insulation makes ALL the difference in the way it cooks. It took 5 sticks of wood to cook my first brisket on it.

มุมมอง 31K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I took an old gooseneck trailer and transformed it into my competition bbq trailer. In this video I show you how I built it and show you the way it all came together. Part 1 is the build. You don't want to miss Part 2. It will be the finished walkthrough of the finished trailer.

Sir, this is an awesome rig. If your BBQ turns out half as good, you will garner many awards, brother ! 🏆🍖🥩
The ingenuity is great. However, what has impressed me the most ( that may change as I watch and rewatch, and rewatch, and rewatch...) is your presentation. You have a measured and balanced approach when you pair your audio with the visual. Strong work!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. I was a fun project to do.
Great job and good looking rig.
Thanks 👍 I appreciate it.
Man this is the best build and well thoughtout build that I've ever seen.
Thank you. I spent a lot of hours figuring things out.
great job
Great done
Wow
Thanks Adrian
Was there any extra support for the EGG? Im always worried about hauling mine.
The egg made a few trips but was retired to the back yard after I found a crack in the base. I ended up building an insulated smoker to replace it.
That's freakin awesome! It's very well thought out thanks for sharing
Thanks, I was a man on mission.
Only in my dreams. Awesome setup bud.
Thanks. I dreamed it for over a year before I got tired of cooking in the rain and cold.
You have some skills.
Thanks Robert it was a journey.
This is awesome. You really.did a fantastic job! Very well thought out and build. I hope you are enjoying the heck out of it! I would try to build this, but my health tells me not a chance..lol Thank you for sharing the journey. Be well 🙏👍🏻
Thanks Matt. I am enjoying it a lot. Hope things get better for you.
Nice set up appreciate the information. I do have a question for you. How are the bleachers holding up as a floor?
Thanks David, the bleachers are as good as the day I put them on. The only place there are issues is where I had holes drilled to mount previous equipment to the trailer. And even those are minimal. Zero regrets.

VERY NICE!
Thanks!
hey great job ,!!! how much did you spent on it?
Thanks Isaac. I think I have about $5,500-$6,000 in it not counting the trailer.
Wow, that was an awesome build. Sir you have skills. If the meat comes out as nice as the trailer, you are on your way.
Thanks Darrin, It was actually fun to let my imagination run to try to make everything exactly like I wanted it.
Awesome build, thanks for sharing. I just recently bought a 16' trailer, the guy I got it from had the same idea as you did, but didn't get that far . But I have a perfect canvas. I was looking to do a porch trailer like you did with an enclosed section as well.
Sounds great! It works out very well for it’s purpose. Thanks
We are very Fortunate to still be able to do stuff like this. I Love it. These Globalists don't want us to be doing anything like this. This is what I want to do. I'll probably start out small. Like a smoker on wheels and sell them and use the money to keep it going and eventually end up doing this. This is definitely on my Bucket list. Thanks for the video
Thanks Larry, nothing to but to just do it.
Awesome! Love this!!!
Thanks Sean, I appreciate it.
Great build. Thanks for telling your story. I love watching custom builds.
Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Very nice, you're very talented
Thank you sir.
AWESOME BUILD SIR.. THANKS IM CLOSE TO UR STYLE JUST ALIL LONGER AS IM DOING A BBQ CATERING AND ROAD SIDE TRAILER IN SOUTH La...GOOD LUCK...
Thanks. I may be building another one that I could have certified and sell out of.
Absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!!!
Thank you sir.
What is the siding and corners from ? That is some serious engineering and craftsmanship.
Thanks Tyler, I’ve never built anything like this before. I’m just a man with a plan in his head trying get it out. The sheet metal is like an r-panel. I think it’s called mini rib. The place I get it from (Metal Mart) cuts it to order. All pieces were pre-measured prior to ordering and I only had to do very minimal trimming. They also have brake machines and custom make all the corner and trim pieces.
Very nice work! Gave me some ideas for what we’re planning to build.
Thanks. Good luck on yours.
Fantastic BBQ Trailer build! Well done!
Thank you. It was a labor of love.
Very nice job. A lot of thought went into this build.
Thanks Toby. I spent a lot of restless nights going over things in my head.
@@TomKatProFilms Where did you get the vents and what do they call them. I’m trying to find some. Thanks.

@@TomKatProFilms Thank you sir.
Wow! What an inspiration! Amazing job sir!
Thanks Shane.
Excellent, good job !
Thanks
Nice job !
Thank you Jeffery.
Sweet build👍👍👍
Thanks. I just finished tweaking a couple of things inside. Now I am ready to make the walkthrough video.
Seriously what a friggin lame video. Show it in use. Your welcome for my review.
What kind of grass does grow out of that and is it weeds free
What we do is primarily Bermuda grass. In the winter months we switch over to rye. Our seeds are clean, tested and certified. The only weeds growing will be the from the seeds already in the soil.
@@TomKatProFilms can i purchase your liquid grass somewhere online to have it shipped or is it just localy
@@oOohdaddy It's just local. We have a large machine we mix it up in and spray out.
Simply beautiful. GOD IS GOOD!!! Mr. & Mrs. Chambers, I know GOD will keep you two, as long as you keep HIM first. My hubby, Ben Richardson is resting GOD'S arms, but we kePT GOD first in our marriage.
Great video, could you plz tell me what camera you use? Thank you
Thanks for the compliment. I used a Sony HVR HD100U. I have since upgraded to a Canon XA20. It is a much smaller and awesome camera. The Sony is now my backup and does a good job but the Canon is far superior in so many ways.
WOW - excellent video. You Sir cannot call yourself an amateur……..You might not get paid for your work but this video is priceless. It's obvious you can shoot and edit anything with the skills you demonstrated on this video. I only have one suggestion. The opening credits had some white fonts that disappear in the background. It might be perfect on your video and the internet color scheme could have caused that.
Awesome K J keep it up !!!!!
