Go as a pilgrim and seek out danger
far from the comfort
and the well lit avenues of life.
Pit your every soul against the unknown
and seek stimulation in the comfort of the brave.
Experience cold, hunger, heat and thirst
and survive to see
another challenge
and another dawn.
Only then will you be at peace
with yourself
and be able to know and to say;
“I look down the farthest side of the mountain,
fulfilled and understanding all,
and truly content that
I lived a full life and one
that was my own choice”

Built in 1926 by Edgar B Davis the local oil tycoon for an appreciation picnic for his employees and friends. The BBQ drew an estimated 30,000 guests, and cost about $5 million. That’s upwards of $35 million in today’s dollars.

When ghost rider shows up
I know this truck blew up, but the flames coming out of the twin stacks was kind of sick looking
looks pretty badass, not gonna lie
This shows just how well built most diesel engines are. It’s probably running at least twice the maximum rpm and didn’t grenade itself.
My family.Harriet Barbara Stafford is my 3 gen ago my grandmother
Very cool family history.
Thx.l am proud of them.investigate the cattle business owned by the family. Also the railroad history and the ice house
Also the cattle drive up to ks
Were there some remodeling to this building later after the fight? It doesn't look like the same building that was pointed out as the building Roberts died in.
I saw this happen on the 405 in SoCal. Truck was blowing fire as I drove by for work and when I was done with my day I saw the same truck and trailer burned to a crisp. Everything melted
Yup
The truck looks cool though... Like a madmax movie
Cameraman got closer to the bomb but he knows the cameraman never dies so he saved the trucker’s life
If i saw this as a child I'd have nightmares 😂
Cinematic
that was the coolest guy on the road for about 20 seconds
In trucks defence, it did look majestic for those 8 seconds
this video should be viral wonderfully played .use key words
Oh shit this isn’t a truck rodeo
He didn't notice the bullet holes
Mad maxing it
Looks fn rad tho
Why was he not true??
He started off as a good guy that everyone loved then became an outlaw and murderer.
I was certain, such a crazy thumbnail must be a clickbait creation. One of those cases to feel good with being wrong.
Oh that was fun!!
this is nice - ciao,😉
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent, what a great adventure , thanks guys!
@@chrisrollin8776 thanks!
Thanks for the adventure!!
I DELIVER GOODS MORTAL
mad max looking epic
A family story is that my dad's uncle in Kansas would meet the drivers near the Kansas/Indian Territory border to help finish the drive. I was never able to get definitive records to verify the claim beyond family members from the late 1800's and early 20th century stories. My dad's uncle Herbert Hildebrand, my great, hreat uncle, gave my dad his Stetson(which I have now). My grandmother said her uncle was no good as a farmer and not much better as a cowboy.
That is a cool family history, thanks for sharing.
I know you folks mean well, but the old drovers DID NOT call the trail in Texas the Chisholm Trail. They generally called the trail segments by the name of the nearest city ahead of them until somewhere around the Red River they said they joined the Chisholm Trail. A lawyer in Oklahoma wrote a book on how the Oklahoma Highway Department was throwing trail designations around rather loosely, and the Oklahoma legislature going on old maps, designated where and what it really was. Of course, it is too late now, but if you go to the north end of Waco, you will find the Old Dallas Road. That is far more accurate than the recent stakes designating the Chisholm Trail. There are also records of troop movements up the common trail. I have seen no record of their calling it the Chisholm Trail. Have fun on your trip. Driving the 10 to 15 miles per day that the cowboys rode, in only minutes in car time is still invigorating.
Thanks for the information.
What a cool road trip...
Thanks, we had a great time.
What ever became of your wagon? Did you finish the Chuck box setup?
Yes I did, I guess I need to do a part two. Thanks
Great history...
Thank you
What happened! Just ended the recording when it was getting good!
My son who recorded it was in his boss’s truck with his boss driving.
Great video so interesting, thanks guys 🇬🇧
Thank you
very cool will check out the museum next time in Cuero had many ancestors that rode the Chisholm
That’s really cool.
how to stop runaway diesel? 'just leave it until it broke the cylinder.
Optimus Prime needs some TUMS.
My ancestor scouted the route for Mr. Butterfield in the Spring of 1858. It's interesting to imagine him on these very same paths.
That’s an interesting family history. Very cool
Where is this?
It is part of Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The ranger station will give you a key for access if you ask.
That rise in frequency at the end became really threatening like I would have hit the effing gas hard.
It’s easy to see why the regulators chose that spot to stop and eat, and get in their gunfight, they can just hop on the freeway when it was all done and be gone…
All diesels should have an Emergency fuel/oil cutoff valve Air Intake Cutoff RPM emergency shutoff
DAMN !!!!
where is that located from Lincoln?
It is in Mescalero about an hour from Lincoln.
@@texasadventurer1042 ok thanks! I'll need to go check it out! : )
Trucks got 2 big ass flamethrowers coming out the top.
Is there any historical proof that this story took place?
Plenty
Badass!
I just left there about 5 minutes ago 😁 I walked thru the house and scoped it all out too, pretty cool in there! Kinda creepy tho 😅
That’s cool.
I’ve been looking all over for that video!
Great! Glad you enjoyed it.
