    As you said you said “you can’t raise turkey for .59 a pound”. What you should have said was “YOU HAVE T0 BE CRAZY TO EAT ANYTHING THAT ONLY COST .59 A POUND!!!! How do you think that bird was raised and what chemical garbage it was raised on? And people wonder why the get cancer,easy, just eat that poison.

    Taking so much time over what is essentially a simple task !!! Starting off with a sharp knife would help and something under the cutting board will stop the cutting board going in all directions as you cut. The knife being used is for fish filleting knife which is totally unsuitable for this type of job - far too flexible - use a medium sized, good quality (sharp) Cooks Knife for this task and see and feel the difference and the speed and ease in which this relatively simple task will be accomplished !!!

    Next time you may want to not discard the fat instead put it in with the meat chunks to ground up it helps your turkey not come out so dry same concept as why they include fat when ground beef.

    Hello Bob, great vid I love the idea of turning the tenderloin and flank into ground jerky and sticks. I do have a question when you grind the meat for burgers etc... do you add any fat? Recipes would be awesome. I'd love to make that soup.

    • @bobcatacrestimes297
      @bobcatacrestimes297 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't usually add fat because we are used to eating ground turkey breast which is also low in fat. Though if I was to use it for sausage I would probably add pork fat. As for recipes I use the ground meat in all sorts of things that you would use ground turkey in, such as chili, goulash, and homemade hamburger helper type dishes. I've also used it mixed with ground lamb (we also raise sheep), to extend shepherds pie and reduce the fat. Here is that recipe: ingredients: 2 pounds of ground meat garlic seasoning dehydrated onion mixed vegetables (usually frozen peas and carrots) Worcestershire sauce beef broth flour butter Mashed potatoes (anyway you like to make them) Brown the meat season with salt and pepper add the garlic and onions cook the veggies in a sauce pan mix 2 tbls of flour and 2 tbls of butter making a rue. add 2 cups of beef broth stirring until thickened add Worcestershire sauce to taste Add sauce to ground meat and veggies Pour into 1 or 2 casserole dishes and then top with mashed potatoes. Broil in oven for 10 minutes until potatoes start to brown. As a real kicker cover the top with shredded Mexican cheese blend before broiling. Then enjoy. Hope that helps.

    • @bobcatacrestimes297
      @bobcatacrestimes297 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Heads Up Smoke Shop The Famacha scale runs from 1-5 based on the color of the inner eyelids. 1 is white and 5 is bright red. So a 3 is halfway (a pink to light pink) if the whole group is a 3 or les then you should worm, if only 1 is a 3 and the rest are 4-5 then you would it's a toss up if you worm them or not. Hope that helps.
