Well Ebony did it again, we come home from dropping off the first batch of animals at the fair and guess who greets us at the front gate?

Prepping all the animals for the fair seems to never end. Here we are getting the last few sheep and goats ready.

Since we are getting Ebony the heifer ready for fair, we are also practicing with her for her show appearance.

It's finally time to have Ebony the heifer AI'd. So Dr. Matt came over and performed the procedure.

Just a quick update on Ebony while we wait for Dr. Matt to come and remove the CIDR, in preparation for having her AI'd (Artificial Insemination).

Fair Prep continues here at BobCat Acres and we're working like crazy to not only keep up with the chores but also have everyone ready for the fair.

Licorice the Kiko doe has assigned herself to the Fashion Police. And poor Lexie is her first victim.

Fair time is here again, and it's time to get the sheep ready. Lexie our wooliest ewe is ready for a hair cut.

Who said sheep can't have fun

It's been a little over a week since the baby bunnies were born.. They're getting active and big, some even jumping out of the nest boxes.

Our heifer went on a rampage the other night. We think she was in heat and was trying to get to the neighbors bulls. Well she left a mess in her wake, that Farmer Bob needed to fix.

It's getting easier to walk Ebony, and now we regularly try and walk her around after she eats if there is enough light.
