South Lower Lake Minnetonka and Excelsior Bay
We enjoy your videos very much, Thank You for making and sharing! Although we have been on Lake Minnetonka for decades, we learn something new with each video!
Thank you so much! I do it because it gets me out on the lake, and its fun. We actually watch them ourselves in the Winter when cabin fever starts having its effect.
Nice video
Wing Lake Terrace on Christmas eve?
You save my life. I could not open the gas cap til I watch your video. Haha
It'd be great to accompany you on a lake excursion. Sit quietly and enjoy a cup of coffee.
I enjoyed watching this video.
I really appreciate your videos and narration. Having grown up near the lake, first in Deephaven, then on the Grays Bay side, I spent a lot of time on the lake. I knew the lower lake well, but I always learn something new from your videos. Thanks, and I hope you keep at it.
Nice video Why did they ban camping?
Chuck I love it
Very interesting history, Thank You
I live on Carman Bay and have a canoe. Thanks for the history lesson and showing what I can not see in one outing.
Very shallow parts of the lake by looks of the drone shots and long docks. Weeds are winning the war
Indeed. The Point markers on the South Upper Lake. as well as Phelp's Bay extend way out towards the middle. We kept our stern drive trimmed high with one eye on the depth finder the whole time.
Nice video and nice history lesson
Really enjoyed seeing all of the old beautiful boats!
Thanks for sharing! Love lake Minnetonka!
They built them to park money. You would too. Maybe.
Enjoy watching. We live on Carman Bay. Really nice to see the goings on around the lake!
Brings back memories of fabulous fall days from many years ago. 😊
thanks for this... say if someone was going for the first time, respectable jetski rider, is grey bay the easier on and off with parking if say a mid week ?? (might be solo, coming from the SE metro) or would there be another recommendation ?? (any must not go areas on the lake, weeks, shallow, or is everything marked relatively well ?? a tic intimidated since this would be the largest lake the ski has been on)
Mid week you should be fine at any of them. The Lake gets a little crazy on weekends.
@@thebaytripper1200 launched at Grey's bay, very big lake, had to use Google maps a few times... Lol
Too bad the lake is filled with feces and makes people sick when they swim in it
I grew up right there by the Orono Public Golf pretty close to where K.G lived and I never understood the whole looking at strangers houses it's kind of creepy and this is the worst music I've ever heard in my life, Obviously dudes pick. The worst. Why do you have oxygen tanks on a boat where the water is so murky you can't see 2' in front of you? Just saying
There's all the Biden supporters.
So who owns the "big monstrosity" on Brackett's Point?
Not sure how owns the 'big monstrosity,' but Southway was a Tudor Revival masterwork. What replaced it is a masterwork in bad taste. At over 33,000sf, Southway was the largest residence in Minnesota.
Glad you did the Fruen property. Amazing place, even after my step brother burned down one of the cabins
why do you fly a Ukraine flag that's weird
Great video. I have enjoyed each one. Please do a video of Enchanted Island. Thanks
We've got an Enchanted Island Video in post production right now. Should be uploaded sometime this week.
I’m sure it’s a pain to record but honestly I prefer your narration vs the AI voice ❤
Last one is the coolest. Lots of blah back yards, acres of lawn mowing is kinda boring.
Never see one owner, out side or even home. Not mowing or anything. Not fishing or swimming. St.Paul,Minnesota.
Cool homes, now lets talk about how they got paid for.
Have fished the whole lake for 40 years! The new house (few years now) as you round the point into Wayzata bay on the northern shore is massive! Looks like a hotel! The whole lake is full of too much money!
Never seen a funnel, Hope I never do
Weve painted toms of homes on amd off ferndale im actually there right now
Nice video! Great work Maybe do a video showing where the popular fishing spots are What are all those floating balls & markers for?
If your talking about the buoys around Lighthouse Island, they are for the sailing school the Yacht Club runs there.
beautiful
Can you show us Stubbs Bay? How to get their.
I cover Stubbs Bay in the Crystal Bay Video
21:21 is a bit much.
Cool video! I love Lighthouse Island. It feels like you are going back to a better time when you go to Cottagewood and Lighthouse Island. Lots of big money around the lake!
Nice video
I really enjoy your videos! Always great info. (Personal opinion is that your natural voice is better.)
Oh geez, $6 an hour to park your boat and possibly more to tip a kid working there, and you have to pay to park your car along the lake in Excelsior! Nothing is free anymore! The boardwalk looks cool, and of course the Wayzata Train Depot has always been charming. I hate the concrete design of the areas near The Cove. It was so much prettier before.
Hey I love it I recognize a ton of them
Interesting video
Wow, fun tour! I recognize a few of them. They vary so much. I would not want to deal with the maintenance of another building especially the few that are in the water!
Nice Video
I learned how to ski on that lake back in 1970
Great info Thanks To bad parking is very limited on most the ramps
Fun to see some of these big mansions and different views of the lake!
Who was the interesting fisherman?! Great idea for your channel!!
I believe his name is Ben. Everyone just refers to him as the Dancing Fisherman. You can find him along the narrows on weekends Dancing away. Sometimes he even has his line in the water.
@@thebaytripper1200 Ah, I will be looking for him!😂 Funny!
Interesting, I like the old Wayzata better. It has become too highfalutin! I hate the concrete areas around the Cov. The wooden benches and pretty flower areas around them were much better!
