Most useful idea in here for me was the list of thirds
this is super helpful thank you!!!!
what if you have a III major 7, a VI7 major seven and a VII7 dominant seven, let's say that those come from a minor key, how would you differentiate between major and dominant since the symbols are the same?
This makes so much sense! Thank you for making it so easy to understand.
@@demetriusmccray1574 no problem. Here is a page with a new app I created along 50 or so trainer videos. You can view the videos by clicking on the trainer tab on the left. If you do not feel comfortable with standard notation, you can always select note letters. Happy new year! www.shedthemusic.net/fret-finder
Thanks for the lesson 🙏
How do delete the tempo😢😢😢
Why is the B7 also a b9 if the C is still sharpened ?
Will this same setup work with an iPad?
im a jazz musician diving into hiphop production, just assisting the "producer" really. i showed this video to them and a video crash course on textures of music ie homophony, polyphony etc so it can be easier to describe what the heck they want in one or two words lol thank you for your service
Thanks for the review. Any thoughts on the standard plus vs the yamaha 612. Trying to decide which one to get
@@joepal843 The standard plus and Revstar standard are on another level.
Thks
Thanks. Very informative
Great but they don’t let you actually record with the feature unless you pay for it.
They gotta make money some how
@@Shedthemusic yeah and theyre already charging for features that youd think would be a given .
luv this! explained so well. Thank You
you mean half bar not beat :D
i played this video and watched it for a like a minute and started reading something about the same topic and stopped listening to this but it was good as a background noise lmao
im saved
I love this, like a musical puzzle game for the audience :D
This is really helpful
oh.. melodically. I did all harmonically by mistake.
Are you hitting the instrument? 🥁
First time i hear about circle of fours. Up until now i had only heard about circle of 5ths. I was lost especially at the end of this video
Great work on keeping it simple and playable
It´s really interesting and I am going to try your method. Please, what you do with 16th notes or tuplet?
@@Maikeru175 I have a similar approach starting with all of the 16th subdivisions and slowly introducing rests, ties, and different combinations.
Thats a super cool tutorial! It helps me a lot to understand the process, but unfortunately not with a problem that I have at the very beginning of the process for years now: How do I find the chords for an existing text? I have tons of lyrics written by myself and/or friends and even after months of watching tutorials I'm not able to find suitable chord progressions for any of them. :/ With the table shown here in the video I now tried using the G-Chords (C, D, G, Em) to suit them on one of my lyrics, but I just can't find a suitable order. Everyone seems to advise to "just try it out", but I can try as much as I want, I just can't find any clear better or worse. I find it easy to find the correct positions for a chord change, but no sequence of chords sounds perfectly appropriate ... and in principle all different sequences tried sound equally "ok". There must be something I'm missing. What's the trick here?
Saw this band at Blue Bamboo in Orlando. Gilad Hekselman is not of this world. I’ve seen him live 4 or 5 times in different musical configurations and it’s just mind blowing how great a player he is…
The best tutorial on TH-cam no cap
Nate Smith good timing
Nate Smith is the J Dilla of drumming, perfect! I would say it’s the Smith-time-groove-polyrhythm-Maschine. ❤
This is a rhythm game level in real life 😭
I get better results from listening to any ADHD track from GreenRed Productions here on TH-cam.
Thanks you for sharing your knowledge. I have to analyze over a hundred songs for a challenge & this helps me understand melodies much better😀
Always brings a huge fuckin' smile to my face. Watched this thing as many times as I've watched 50% of all other videos together... that's the count! :D
I love you
What a goat. Where were you all my life?
can i sample this
Sample away. Let me hear what you come up with.
I’m using this video as background sound lmao
I, love it
Oasis
good review. convinced.
What the difference between Pulse and Beat?
I have a concert tomorrow wish me luck
I want more of these! This same format but with other harmonies! the 4th and 2nd! I love this, its so helpful. I use a tuning app on my phone to make sure my pitch is correct until I can feel the harmonic resonance in my face.
Effortlessly made through it 💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks so much sir...I really appreciate all ur lessons...pls can u do drum and drones for II,III and VII...pls🙏🙏
What did he mean by “this is Chicago man, come on”?
Not being from the US, I'm guessing Chicago is generally known to be a city with a lot of music history so it's pretty ingrained in people's way of life?
Thank you for this practical explanation. Cut time, a la breve, two-half - is the same thing, isn't it? Instead "one and three and.." I would count "one and two and.." though
straight to the point and easy to understand! awesome video!
How do you know you are on chords 1-4-1-5 when you are higher up on the neck ? I don’t know music theory
Great video man. Deserves way more views. I’m just getting into song writing and have been struggling with where to start. This “how to” gave me the blueprint for my first song! Thanks 🤘
Glad it helped!
