Oh Sassy this so beautiful. I dig this rendition. A real gem - MJEKANA Pimville Soweto
This and Wave and Time after Time just get right to the center of my being
Hell Yeah!!!!
SARAH WAS IS WILL BE GOD
The pic shown is that of Charlie Byrd and not Laurindo Almeida.
This song resonates with my very core! So beautiful, bittersweet and timeless.... Thank you Sarah.
Just wonderful!!!!! Any idea where I can get this album?
Phil Bates cet album est épuisé depuis longtemps. il faut chercher sur Amazon ou eBay ou autres, avec un peu de chance.....
I would love to find this album again! I had it years ago! Any chance there are more numbers of this particular CD on youtube?
I could share a digital copy - we had been happy to posses a hard copy 30 years ago - most phenomenal female jazz vocal album ever and best of Sara’s live-s - underrated, unappreciated…
Are we listening to the same thing here? This is the most overindulgent load of . . . uh . . . overindulgence? I have EVER had the misfortune of hearing. Don't get me wrong, she could TOTALLY sing, but sing she did not on this occassion. She butchered this. It's almost comical. Nah wait, what am I talking about? It IS plain comical
it sounds like the project Laurindo Almeida did with the great Ray Brown on bass in 1981. They did also Mondscheinsonate and others together. Just adorable and fantastic, thanks for posting, I love Charlie Byrd, but he is not on this tracks.
Oh, Lord!!! This rendition is just outstanding!!! I love every performance she does of this song, but perheaps this one is my favourite. Thank you so much for sharing this rare piece of heaven.
She is simply flawless! Only one other voice rivals her: Ella Fitzgerald!
Sarah and Ella were friends. Ella helped Sarah begin her career and Sarah never forgot it. When I think and feel about those 2 tears get in my eyes...
Man I got chills!!!
This is my favorite version. Sarah Vaughan was so incredible she did not need a huge orchestra. What a beautiful voice.
Sorry but is Charlie Byrd in the photo! Laurindo is playing...But this photo is Charlye (fine too)
<3
I want this played at my funeral, morbid i no, but hey, we're all born to die x RIP whitney
<3
oh Whitney Houston great.!! i cried on the first word and the sax made all the better. Once you get into the spirit of God there is no better place :) R.i.p love
Ok, Whitney is amazing and I love her voice, but here she changed the melody too much. The song was distorted and became so strange.
This was the last song my momma heard as she went home to glory on Sunday, March 18, 2012. I didn't know Whitney did Amazing Grace, but I'm glad I found this.
this is really nice.
@buffalmacco76 This is brilliant, would you mind uploading more from this cd?
Queira desculpar-me!
