BISON PADDLES RCF Double-Header : Bison Paddles Summit and Rampage [PADDLE REVIEW]
Was excited to try these so I ordered 12. Oso never sent them. I tried calling and emailing and never got a response back. Very disappointed.
Dumb question, I just got one off amazon for prime for $60. The odd thing I wonder is the graphics on the summit I would think changes the way it sounds or hit. I would think that graphics while cool would create issues in the way they hit.
@@mr.mr.3301 I’ve played with lots of paddles in the year and a half since I was using the Summit and as far as I can tell the graphic they use makes little to no difference in grit, at least none that I’ve ever noticed on a paddle with more pronounced graphics vs less. Nothing scientific but anecdotally I’ve felt fine lol!
So which do you prefer. The rampage or summit.
Good to see you back nic!
U hooked me with your service during The War of Northern Aggression and I stayed cuz we both want that paddle to ricochet off the deck and into some body ;)
😞
She was close when she guessed 30 views... I enjoyed thats all that matters
PB Nic top shelf 4 sure! Glad I found your content. Great overview and I think you make a great point about not getting pegged into a power or control paddle.
Very classy stuff! Always enjoy the stuff you put out. Glad to see more.
Thanks so much, the support is really appreciated!
Great balanced and circumspect review. You earned my subscription with this one video. Keep 'em (your reviews) coming!
Thanks so much! I have my Year in Review Review coming up soon, where I rank everything I've played with this year and how it all stacks up against one another!
If you have a poppy paddle these are hard to drop reset and dink with because they bounce so much more. Also go much faster in slams so stay safe.
You've been cracking Core balls in cold weather? I've never cracked a core ball. Perhaps you were playing with their less durable version (the Impact version)
Wth... that i feel 100%... i know that feeling... may grade 2 life... the pain was totally insane...
Best vid😂❤
😮😂😂😂😂😂 I needed this!
😂😂😂got me
I'm a 4.0 player that plays with a shake-hand table tennis grip. I played with a Selkirk s2 Amped for about two years and wanted to try a carbon fiber paddle. I went with the R2.16 and I have been incredibly impressed with it. Perfect handle length and shape for table tennis guys like myself, and at an affordable price. I was hyped when I looked up reviews for this paddle and saw your video since finding carbon fiber paddles for players from a table tennis background can be challenging, thank you for the great review, keep at it and you'll be bound to blow up.
I own a Ronbus R2.16 and am totally on board with the affordable Gen 1 carbon fiber paddles that companies have started to produce. Competitive paddles on a budget that the average joe can justify purchasing. I'm starting to see more and more of them on the court, even here in Idaho which has been dominated by Selkirk paddles since they're made in-state. Great review, great video. It's nice to see more pickleball creators that are engaging and fun to watch.
Great video. Do these paddles have the foam injected edges? I feel like that is more important than thermoformed vs. non. It's why I chose the Vatic Prism over any of the other newer non-thermoformed paddles.
Real Pickleball Nirvana
Is it a flex that I realize the first two text boxes didn’t export properly and I’m just leaving it up?
These are great paddles and, until you're hitting all of your shots where and when, these will compete well with the Vatics and Hudefs. When someone is so discerning with their game they are realizing they need more power or control - by all means shop something else. I'm confident many aren't there yet. Love the video and added funny stuff - it kept me watching.
Great video Nic. Love the positive and negative views with a touch of comedy.
People under the age of 67 play this?

Oh well
The ball I keep to the left is a little bigger then the one I keep to the right.
This should have more likes
The Summit is the paddle I play with and is the first paddle I bought that was more than $50. It’s truly great, lots of spin, control, and feel. Also does not lack in power. Highly recommend it for sure. The CB face impresses my friends with the amount of spin it produces even on serves.
When you say you upped the Summit’s weight, do you mean with lead tape? If so, can you make a vid on overgrip and tape?
Bought the Bison Summit after watching! Thanks for the entertaining review.
Dude you are killing it with these videos
Pickleball, nerdy references, carry gear, comedic, punchy delivery. This is one of the best pickleball videos I’ve watched in a long time 👏
Who noticed it said find momo on the top of the toilet
What's the next paddle you're going to review? I vote Vatic Pro Flash 16mm or Vatic Pro v7 16mm.
I’d love to, but they continue to beat around the bush when sending me stuff to review. I have longer reviews coming for the Warrior V2 and Kiwi Labs Slice though!
Oh, and the Spartus Gladiuses
@@pickleball_nic - Ooh, the Slice is another one I can't wait to hear about.
Anyone know what the difference is between the LP and the LP - S

Awesome review. Thanks! Buying one now.

Are they USAPA approved? Do they have an indoor ball?
No indoor ball I’m aware of, and they are USAPA approved.
@@pickleball_nic are you sure they are approved? This is not verified on their site nor is the stamp shown on any of the pictures of the balls. An important oversight I’m sure you agree. Stating they are “ tournament-ready” is ambiguous.

Had it for less than one monthalready has dents 🙃
Hi Nic, if you add lead or tungsten tape starting at the throat on both sides, it may help to tame that powerful beast. I prefer tungsten because lead is toxic. How do you like Yonex overgrip? I have sweaty hands.
Great video and helpful. Can you recommend a paddle for same price but softer and more forgiving? I’m coming from all lattitude entry level 13mm. Ready for touch and control and spin.
So if you’re looking for an elongated shape, there are still Summits from Bison available on Amazon, and in the time I’ve had with the Spartus Gladius 16mm it’s been performing very well for me. Something with a shorter handle/wider body and the Summit Rampage, or Ronbus R2 would be in the same price point and also give you the touch and control, if only trading for a slightly less comfortable two hand backhand. The CRBN 1/ 2s will also do a similar thing for you, as will all the other brands that offer a non-thermoformed paddle in the 100-150 dollar range. I just haven’t spent time with every single one, so I can’t talk beyond the handful I’ve spent considerable time with.
I have discount codes for the Gladius and Ronbus, but my code won’t work for the Bison paddles on Amazon. NIC10 for Gladius and PICKLENIC for Ronbus I’ve a short first look of the Gladius 13/16 on my Instagram, and the Ronbus review is coming very soon if you’d rather wait to hear my full thoughts.
Awesome vid bro! Thank you!!
What orange tape are you using?
Interesting, maybe I'll have to check them out. Mostly play with X40's unless its indoor, then I don't have a clue what is being used.
They’re worth trying if you live somewhere particularly windy. Mark em up too, since the logo is printed on they become pretty hard to distinguish because they don’t have the indented logo like x-40s
You are weird
Looks like he's bagged a few Big Macs in his time too...🐷
Ordered my paddle in January. Was told the ship date was mid February, that was changed to Mid March, called today and they said my shipment was 3 weeks away. Wow these guys are really really bad, buy at your own risk.
I ordered one in mid Jan. too, just got an email saying it was shipped out and I should get it tomorrow. It's not legacy's fault about the back order, and I think their offering a great paddle at a great price, and so did 20,000 other people. Soon they will be all caught up and they go the extra mile to make sure your a happy customer. I'll be one of the first to buy their upcoming paddle bag, don't even care if that gets back ordered, they are a good company and I will support them.
Thanks for the great and humble review. I can't wait to receive mine.
what is your skill level?
