I've had my international since 2016, and its electric HVAC cooling side works great. The heater side is garbage due to the device under the sleeper having stopped working when it was under warranty, and international refused to replace the heater unit. Instead, they wasted my time twice trying to replace parts in the heater unit and ran out the warranty with the heater unresolved. My AC works great even on triple digit days, although you must keep the curtain closed. And you do benefit more of you turn the AC unit on right after you shut the truck off with the inside precooled by the truck's HVAC.

Why did you not cover your windows? Pretty obvious solution. There's a reason people tint their windows and use windshield sun blockers.

Don’t worry friend its a normal code just drive few miles and it will clear automatically the code takes 30 to 40 minutes but the light takes few hours of drive.

Looks like about 350 to $400 worth of tools and expendable supplies. But....thats about how much labor an honest shop would charge to do this( thats if you can find an honest shop). This is excellent and, that you for sharing. It was nice to hear from a real "small business" owner. Have had an American Express business "credit" card for about 25-years. However, this past Spring, I needed to add an American Express "charge" only card to my wallet . I just want to say thanks for this video. My husband tried to hook the laptop up and pull all the stats of his Thermo pack, as it kept turning off, Nothing would load and it kept giving a firewall block. So I found your video and was able to do the free download from the diesel laptop link. I went out hooked it up and got everything loaded for him and it ended up being a 30$ fix… low coolant I guess, instead of who knows how much if we would have been if we would have taken it into shop!! Thank you so much for the accurate, easy to follow and super informative video, saved us most likely hundreds of dollars! It was very fulfilling for me when my hubby was like, “no, no, it should just load…… and I’m like no, no I just watched a video and I need you to trust me lol…. Well he did and bam, DONE! Does that laptop allow you to do everything that a shop can do like ajust rpm,cruise control etc...

Dude I had the same diesel trip across apu on my truck since 2012 zero major issues still using it 30;000 hrs plus the whole point is not to idle sounds like you had a bad unit..as for me electric is a no no I feel that some things just shouldn’t be electric

U need to put adf pure or mix the pure with the regular from the pump drive it for a hour and it would delete itself is your adf from the pump your truck only run on pure adf just mix them pure and regular

Great video. Question: I keep getting a fault code 18 Shutdown High Engine Coolant Temperature and fault code 93 Failed Water Temperature Sensor WT1. Would you first recommend changing the sensor? If that doesn’t solve the issue is the thermostat replacement next? And after that the water pump?

I have a 2019, with 720k miles, this code pops up on occasion, but it seems to be fuel quality. I add the EDT hotshot secret fuel addititive, or Pittsburgh power additive and it goes away within a few hundred miles. Mine just came on for the first time in months in Benson AZ, and i just added 80 gallons of fuel, and i was stingy with the fuel additive. (The EDT at walmart or tractor supply treats 80 gallons, but the same size bottle at love's or pilot freats 800 gallons, same price. )

As soon as I started the APU while I waited to get loaded for my first load heading out…BOOM! The belt broke. Gives me something to do when I go back lol

I've had 3 different diesel Thermo King APUs on different trucks. I ran where it was 120 degrees and everywhere. I had very little trouble with any of them. I did without my APU maybe 3 times over 15-plus years because it broke down. I changed the oil when it was supposed to be changed, at Thermo King dealers and they checked everything over. I think I replaced a fuel pump on one, and a belt bracket broke one time were the major problems. Probably was only without it 4-5 nights total that I had to run my truck. Mainly because I wanted a certain dealer to work on it in Ocala.

Thanks for the video. I just did some exploratory surgery to find a fuel leak on my Evolution. Turns out my plastic fuel pump has a small crack along a seam on the pump body, so I understand why they've upgraded to a metal body. Really appreciate the info on part numbers and cost!
