Curious if this could be applied onto stone walls that have been painted?
This lime marmorino?I buy lime venetian by mistake not bad,just right color and look awedome.
Soft, surface disitegrating, new portland-based adobe-crete blocks. Exterior, with a wide solid cap. Would you hurl or spray a lime/clay slip to bond?
Can I use a galvanised steel mesh for clay plaster or will it corrode it?
Will probably corrode it if exterior OR if a caustic medium like lye or portland
Will corrode in presence of moisture and caustic or acid salts
Please you can share full details of spray machine. Because I want make my home wall by mud. And if anything mix in clay please advice me thanks

Hey! I'm thinking about rounding the corners of an acrylic painted and sealed wall. There's an idea I could prime it with wheatpaste and then apply the cob. Any advice? Ty!

do you guys have any more information on the wall construction method here, is it light earth using a clay binder for the hemp and LECA ?
Hey there. This wall was made in 3 sections to test. By using lime and leca. Second section has lime leca and hemp, and upper section only hempcrete which is lime and hemp.

Are you just wetting the walls? or is it some kind of sealant?
Just water so the substrate wont suck all the water out the plaster.

If there is a lot of fiber inside then yes. You can add extra fiber to the plaster.

Water to make the wall wet so it doesnt suck the water from the plaster straight away.
Could this method also be used on the ceiling (on top of wood fibre board instead of gypsum)?

After the clay plaster dries, can it be considered as a final finish? Or is there an additional process required afterwards?
It can be left like this but usually its finished with colored clay decorative plasters

i guess it's only clay-colored ordinary mortar.
It is the clay base coat plaster, made with European strongest clay, which is dark red in color. The base coat gives the option to plaster in thicker coats, which helps create a better indoor climate. It is then plastered over with UKU finishing plasters or painted with clay paint.

Depending on clay, it ranges from 1:2 to 1:5 of clay and sand. We use different colored clays and many different sand types and natural fibers to make the best quality clay plasters in Europe.

Interesting. Where and why would you be applying the primer for?
Clay plasters contain microscopic clay particles, which are considered dust. Clay fine finishing plasters are primed with cellulose primer to bind the particles better and give the surface more strength and durability to touch.

Very hard to clean walls later. They become very dusty if you have uneven surfaces.
Most people in our country prefer straight leveled walls :)
