Zulus over ran the camp at Isandlwana. All British Soldiers killed. Over 1,000 men here at Isandlwana. Rorkes Drift had only 150 men defending this post. Some injured at the hospital. Zulu force attacked Rorkes Drift many times at night. Soldiers were exhausted. This was January 22 and January 23,1879. Many VC Were awarded here. 150 Soldiers against 600 to 1000 Zulu, was not an easy battle.

Honestly people point to the gatling guns as an error. I honestly don't think they'd have helped. They take time to set up and the tactics the natives used wouldn't have been favorable to the gatlings as they used the terrain to approach and flank

Custer was not fatally wounded by the Indians. He was shot in the upper chest/ shoulder area and then shot himself in the head. This while his men were still in the fight. Leaving them leaderless

  • @larrycoonrod5563

Given their history of slaughtering women and children, Custer and his men got everything they deserved. And Custer was a coward. What this video gets wrong is that Custer was not killed by a shot to the heart. He had a none fatal shoulder wound and then shot himself in the head while his men were still in the fight. And quit calling the The Battle of the Little Bighorn. The historically correct name is Battle of the Greasy Grasa

The most ominous thing about Little Bighorn was that despite the Indians completely annihilating the Federal forces there, it did nothing to halt the subjugation and domination of the Native American tribes in that region. It was like the Alamo, a complete victory that was immediately met with the winning side surrendering a short time later.

The video makes the bogus claim that Benteen did not grasp the gravity of Custer's situation. Benteen knew full well that Custer was in a desperate fight, and he knew he had just been ordered, both verbally and in writing, to come quickly to Custer's aid. He had no right or reason to disobey this direct order. The video also fails to mention that the Indians failed to set fire to the timber (the trees) where Reno was, and that Reno should have stayed in the timber. Reno's foolish and costly flight from the timber cost him 1/3 of his troops and enabled the Indians to focus their forces on Custer.

Ah, yes, Manifest Destiny genocide. What a wunnerful legacy. Custer, a coward in a fair fight, blew his own brains out rather than be taken prisoner. Custer died early on in the fight. The claim that he lasted any length of time is just wishful thinking.

Enjoyed the video. One thing I would I disagree with however, is that Custer splitting his divisions cost them the war. Custer did this multiple times during the civil War when he was outnumbered to great success. Reno not completing his charge was a huge domino. If Reno completed the charge the Indians would have been surrounded by multiple divisions and would not have been able to retreat.
