This is really late obviously but maybe it'll help someone else. Normally you go to your scan and get the ultrasound technician to write the gender for you on a piece of paper. You can then give that to one trusted person like a sibling or a friend and they can organize the "reveal" part of the party (stuffing either pink or blue confetti into a large opaque balloon or whatever you want there are a lot of different ideas for this). Some people choose to do this party just for family or you can include friends it's really your call. But that way both you and your partner will be surprised :)

Hi! I just bought regular tan clothspins from wal-mart - big bag of them. I also bought pink craft paint and blue craft paint and painted them. I actually let my older kids do the job, but if you don't have older kids than you can do it. I was going to do it, but they were to excited to help me with it.

thanks for the reply. I found them in another dollar stor and colored them myself. Had my gender reveal yesterday n excited to know it's a boy!

Sorry for the delay in responding... I have been so busy wrapping up my homeschool year soon with my oilder kids and the baby. It keeps me busy! :) We had one person really pull the balloon open ... it was a little touch but manageable while the other one stuffed the tissue paper in and then we blew it up with regular air. I think my hubby blew it up, but can't remember if he did it by mouth or the balloon pumpers you can get now for really cheap. We did not use helium.

I found out the gender at only around 10-12 weeks because I did a blood test from my midwife. The blood test can tell you what the gender is. It is fairly new... a few years old. I confirmed the gender at my ultrasound at 20 weeks and the blood test was certainly accurate! Thanks for commenting and hope you have a great gender reveal party! Let me know what you are having!

Jule4Real Hi I have a question would like to know how is a gender reveal supposed to be done this is my first time doing this would like some help or we supposed to be guess are bby or should it be my family nd friends guess what we are having a boy or girl. PS give me some advice

It was hard carrying the extra weight at the very end of the pregnancy. I don't feel that way when I am pregnant though till I get to be around 35 weeks pregnant till 40 weeks when it is really big. I would say before 35 weeks... it is manageable and enjoyable.

I plan to use it as a craft for my 10 year old daughter and I. In the Spring, I am going to paint, glitter and decorate it and use it for a video for this channel. My daughter loves crafts and I thought she would really enjoy having this as a memory with me. After I am done decorating it..... not sure if I will hang it in the girls room, display it or tuck it away in a box for safe keeping. I haven't thought that far ahead :) I felt for the memory it was worth it... just doing the craft together as a family. If you wanted after you are all done. You could just take a bunch of pictures and video with it for your newborn and discard it. I will try to keep mine though.
