Agreed. I have always felt that the fact I have the book. That it exists and now exists in my humble collection is what truly matters. If I were to part with it, a really collector would look at the facts when buying. White pages, well presenting cover and missing the MVS (which was intended to be cut out.)

@teslatechtravel with how well it presents and your video evidence of the inside, I think a real collector would be honored to have it in their collection, even with them less than ideal grade.

I agree with that. And I’m actually never pressed my books. Or clean them. That historically always likes to keep the patina of how I discovered them. I have the Disney fun jar lol. We used to have a thing wherever he payday we would take at least $20 cash out per deposit and throw out in that jar leading up to our vacation. As Disney became more and more Cashless. It seemed a moot point. Now I just kinda keep it for aesthetics or refine loose change or cash in our pockets doing laundry. Lol Disney trip in about a week. Sad report give me the last one for a very long time.

​@teslatechtravel I had the carne asada at Taco Giro and I didn't think it was good. I prefer Villa Mexican Food off Ina and Shannon, best red chili beef in town. La Parilla Suiza has good carne asada. Ole has good carne seca and for something simple like ground or shredded beef tacos I would choose El Molinitos. A lot of different options in the neighborhood that have been around for 20-30 years. Once again just my opinion. I enjoyed your video. Keep it up!

Fair question. To me, the main difference is in the video/audio. For still I think it’s really a coin toss. But for the same price. I’d go with the mark iii. I’ve had issues with my, but it was directly related to video at 4k. The Mark ii has a flow of pixel Burn which affects all the images in the long run. So I would go with the #canong7x #markiii

I’ve had separate feelings on this. The historian in me loves the patina and the wear that the books have and the story it tells as a result. I understand that a lot of this is a business for people. And the higher grade the higher the value. In which case pressing makes sense. pressing and cleaning comes with its own set of dangers. Look at the recent scandal with the guy who accepted money to press and clean extremely rare books and ended up, destroying some and stealing some. Is it worth it to press? to me, it all depends on your intentions with the book. My intentions to encapsulate is to protect for longevity and if something would ever to happen to me, it’ll be easier for my family to understand the actual value. If it provides you a sense of joy, completion and you feel your are doing right by the books. Go for it.
