The way Mr Dhannath Fernando conducts this interview is very professional and decent. In this way he gets more information and makes the other person comfortable. We have seen many politicians are interviewed on TV channels but those are not conducted in a professional way like this.

This is something we desperately needed. Our people have a bad habit of criticising what ever if it is not started by their preferred party. We must learn to think of the country and how it is going to benefit the future generations. Social changes are very important to "clean Sri Lanka" or Better Sri Lanka. The success of this broad concept is depending on creating a new citizen armed with broader thinking and three active participation in the movement without confining it to a few officials..People participation is a dynamic force that propells a movement to reach the outlined objectives.

Teachers often suppress in classroom asking questions which is not good.

Introduce concept of children or people should develop courage to " Ask questions to any one" develop concept of Logical thinking and use of common sense.

Please introduce use of plastic bag. So many beautiful beaches or road are spoiled by plastic bags. Please charge money to purchase plastic bag. Please replace with environmental friendly material e.g containers including carrier bags made from Palmyra leaves or grass or sack made from coconut fibres.also banana leaves or lotus leaves or tree leaves.

Please introduce the concept of Reflective in everything to the minds of every one from baby to elderly person. We often have problem then reflect on the problem in every angle and look at if similar issue can happen in any other areas and look for evidence. The process of reflection is a continuous process- ensure identify the solutions, ensure they are implemented by Laws, Measure and ensure the change in new level yield benefit and became a new norm.then only progress will happen.

Useful to think about strategy "SMART " - Specific solution to the issue, Measurable the change and benefit with Data collection/ review, Achievable, Realistic, Time specific - Set the time to achieve bit by bit.

This is the first time we have seen in our life time such an excellent concept “ Clean Sri Lanka “ in the country. President AKD has made a well thought-out fabulous movement to stir the masses in the country to transform the country into new heights. 🎉

Excellent discussion. Dhana and Sandya, this is a timely discussion when we have a lot of disinformation and are spreading particularly spear headed by opposition including electronic media. Regarding environmental cleaning, use the famous Japanese concept 6S.

Absolutely providing public toilet is a must. However whatever people's opinion clean sri lanka initiative is fantastic idea we love it

Thank you both for the excellent discussion. 1.Kindly list out specific subjects to collect public opinion, proposals, ideas. Ex. a. Sustainable solutions for public toilets, rest areas (other than along the expressways), b. Easing public life when receiving govt. services ( extensive use of QR codes without waiting in long queues for a long time ) c. And many more areas. 2.Then you may publish these proposals without sender's name, under specific headings and ask the public to select, say, best 10 proposals (based on majority votes). This is kind of a peer evaluation reducing your burden on reading each and every proposal. 3. This strategy ( collecting public views, proposal) is important from an another perspective. Ex., Dept. of Immigration & Emmigaration wants to streamline its process. Sometime, it may not in a position to collect public views on this. Now, you, as a part of Clean Sri Lana Movement, can collect the information and share it with the relevant department.

The present government is doing lots of good things to improve the situation whether it is about poverty, unemployment,Education,Environment,Security,Climate,and safe environment for all.All the earlier governments failed to achieve anything.The country was ruled by worst racists who always wanted to devide and rule.I will always support the present government which had been power only for 4months and they are trying to do the best wholeheartedly for all citizens of Srilanka.

We should build shopping malls instead of small shops all over in town. Have these wash room facilities in each shopping mall. This will also save lot of space and beautify towns.
