Mine I put the batteries in and it just flashes.

My experience with this scale is disappointing. It worked fine for checking powder measure drops for a few reloading sessions. Then began to display variations of 2 to 3 grains with the charge sitting on the scale. I change batteries and recalibrated many times. It can no longer be depended on to measure accurately.

Well, if you want 200 to 500 dollar accuracy results, 30 bucks aint going to get u that. I personally like mine.

I just ordered the Lyman check weight set and I was curious what came with it. Thanks to the this video I was able to see what’s coming in the mail. Thanks brother for doing the video

well 3 scales did the same exact thing then would it have have been possible your weights are off?And when u do get a new scale do a video please of it showing those same calibration weights you used to see if the new scale is on. That way we can rule out your weights being wrong.

I’ve only just loaded 500 rounds and mine is doing this exact thing. It’s like this video was shot using my Dillon ! If it think back it started maybe around the 400 +/- round, I had a primer not feed into primer plunger so when the casing forwarded to the next 2 stations it sprinkled powder out the primer hole. Does anyone have a video of how to take the shell plate apart ? Could someone make a video for a newbie. I’m going to check the detent spring and ball , as it seems that’s what the comments are suggesting.

Maybe you should place it on a good flat surface. Might help with accuracy?

My SDB had this issue too. After a little tinkering, I found that the detent spring/ detent ball that is under the shell plate was dirty. The excess grime on the ball was preventing it from fully engaging the centering holes of the shell plate. Because of this, when the indexer moved, it allowed the shell plate to move with it. It's really an easy fix. 1) remove ejector wire 2) remove shell plate bolt 3) remove shell plate 4) remove base disk screws 5) remove platform base disk 6) remove detent ball 7) remove detent Spring (I stretched my spring a little here) 8) clean all parts that you've removed 9) lube all parts lightly 10) reassemble Good luck!!

Yeah mine does that too but it stays consistent so I just subtract the tenth. Cant expect better for 30 bucks I guess. One of these days I'd like to get a nicer scale. Just not ready to shell out 200 when I can just subtract.

Don’t think that is the same scale Johnny and Elvis have. Yours only measures to the nearest tenth, not the nearest hundredths! Same make but, different models.

Yeah I didn't really think about hunting.. Haha I just bought this scale but it should do plenty good enough for me

Are you a precision bench shooter or something... becauss you will never notice a tenth or two of a grain freehand shooting

I have it, i have a problem. Mine is 50g max but somehow now it just reaches 20g. How can i change this setting ?

What’s the outcome. ??Just sent my square deal b into Dillion for repair. They fixed for free, but shipping it back to me was a fiasco. And they were going to charge me $79.99 to refurbish it, when it was a warranty issue. But they did warranty and cover the cost. Shipping to them was on me. Going to get it back Saturday, hopefully it’s in new operating condition as they claim.

How’s it working for you now? Still running good? Thinking about buying one.

The issue with the priming system is, I can load the primer tube like it should be. It will prime the first brass then it dumps all the rest of the good primers on the floor. I have replaced the little plastic piece that goes on the end of the primer tube with 3 times and all of them do the same thing. like I said I'll go back the Lee Load Master.

Gee, sorry to hear of that Adam. Dillon techs are really the best in the industry. Wish you got his name to report to the owner. They never act like that. What is your problem with the primer system? Maybe there is something I can help with. Do not give up with it. These things do happen. Nothing any company puts out is perfect. Dillon IS the Cadillac of reloading machines. These problems are what season you to know your machine & be able to handle its maintenance.

I did call Dillon. The guy was a bit of a jerk. Figured out that the little ball that holds the shell plate was stuck down. Now the dang primer system is having trouble. I am going back to using the Lee Load Master. I have had no where the issues with it.

There is a piece under the shellplate that wears out. Have you contacted Dillon to ask a tech? The machine has a lifetime repair warranty. Make a video when they tell you the problem. I have this machine also.
