Good morning Pastor Mary! I was searching for hymns and came upon you. Blessings on you!

Your sermon on guilt reminded me of another thing I had seen earlier this week. The secular psychologist J.B. Peterson was asked "Is guilt necessary?" His response was that guilt absolutely is necessary but he warned about the consequences of feeling too much guilt. His position was "You should only feel as guilty as is necessary to prevent you from performing that action again, but no more." It's a good thing to keep in mind because guilt can cripple you never when you know God has offered forgiveness and as Dave said, the other person may not even remember you doing the thing you feel guilty about.
