Running an AMD Ryzen 5900X with an RTX 3060TI, using the AMD AI frame nonsense. Works decently enough, even if it isn't real frames.

Likewise, I bound focus mode to one of my mouse keys and I've been enjoying it a lot for a quick and easy way to reorient.

@CobaltPalladium it is way easier to fight using the focus mode since it is just like using bow however if I am using the side button of the mouse sometimes I let go of it. Which part of the mouse key did you use?

God, fishing for Iai Spirit Slashes is a different kind of dopamine hit and I fully understand the LS craze when they start coming in

@@Avanah123 Eh, I think folks dunk on longsword too much. I’ve practiced with it doing endgame hunts in World, and there’s still a fair bit of analysis, prediction, and skill required to play it well.

He’s probably playing on a 40-series GPU. No offense, but you’re using a laptop GPU, which doesn’t offer the same performance as a desktop GPU. Your laptop GPU RTX 3060 is roughly equivalent to a desktop RTX 2070 in terms of performance.

Actually, I'm using an RTX 3060TI. This is leveraging AMD FSR3 for some added frames, however. There was mention of performance improvements in the official release, so hopefully we'll all be able to have a smoother experience. As for the beta, this is all footage from the last test in October. There's another upcoming beta in early February- seems like February 6th to the 9th, then the 13th to the 16th. I can't tell if the two periods are for different platforms (the first one was PS5 first, then everyone else in the second period) but I'd assume the first is just for PS5 players like before.

its a drawback to having another counter with spirit thrust. its a good balance. otherwise longsword players will be invincible.

Wilds beta Iai Spirit Slash is bugged. I have practiced ISS counter against all monsters during the beta test. Doing a perfect ISS is supposed to give i-frames like Rise Sunbreak and not Iceborne's 14 I-Frames (although Iceborne's Hyper-Armor is back). Also I think there's input lag, you have to press earlier to get those i-frames pretty much like how it worked in Iceborne, unlike Rise where it has instant counter frames and you could press at the same time you'll get hit. IMO, ISS isn't fluid and polished yet in the Wilds beta. We have to wait for the full release to see some changes and fixes (apparently there's a rumor that they nerfed back to Iceborne only 2 hits instead of Rise 4 hits like you see here)
